We love our simplisafe we did need to change our doorbell to analog but once we did that it works PERFECT!!

If you are looking for wireless/battery this would not be it. I was looking for something that would be great for an Apartment. Other than that I would recommend because I bought solely cause a friend had it.

This works okay- does notify us when someone actually rings the bell but doesn't necessary record everytime someone walks up to our house but doesn't ring the bell. I'm overall happy with it but it could be better.

Was easy to install and get the app set up. I like that you can be notified and look-hear but dont have to sign up, although that is an option.

Good product but needs to include the chrome connector because the camera is always on. Phone support was helpful.

Camera works when it wants, you can stand right in front of it and nothing,the wind blows you get a notification

First let me say, I absolutely love my Simplisafe Alarm system... I had 2 issues... first, hardware required a reset twice in first week after losing connectivity... after that it worked great... the second issue I could not overcome was its poor notifications... the motion sensor, & more importantly the doorbell ring uses the default tone on your phone... the same as any text email or other notification... the doorbell NEEDS to be different... not once was I able to catch someone ringing the bell because of this... I returned it, and bought a Ring II

There is a slight delay with the camera and the alert. I have noticed this when I walk my dogs. But other then that the camera is great.

We bought this because we have SimpliSafe as our security service obviously and I really don’t recommend the company but for what it’s worth, the camera is OK..it’s kind of a hassle to get the voice feature to work though so by the time you can get the person at the door to hear you, they may have already left, you’re better off just walking up to the closed door and talking to them thru it. It’s also hard to take the device off if you’ve installed it and need to troubleshoot for any reason so you may end up breaking a little plastic in the process. If you still decide to purchase this product and use SimpliSafe as your provider for security, I hope you have better luck than we did.

SimpliSafe - Pro Smart Wi-Fi Video Doorbell is a wired doorbell with an infrared motions detector which provides a nice clear picture. It captures in 1080p HD and its support for HDR (high dynamic range) is immediately obvious. Shaded areas of my porch were well exposed without the rest of the picture being washed out. The nighttime view was black and white, but clear. The doorbell has four settings for the motion detector. I had to use the lowest as the higher settings would trigger as cars passed by on the street 40 ft away. There are no detection zones; the camera monitors the entire field of view. Installation was easy, but you will need existing doorbell wiring. It's compatible with 8- to 24-volt power supplies. The app installation is nice. While many units require you to connect your phone to the doorbell directly, SimpliSafe avoids the Wi-Fi juggling by using a QR Code. Information on your Wi-Fi network is entered via the app and then the app displays a QR Code. You hold the QR Code up to the doorbell camera and it reads the data and connects to Wi-Fi. This is a nice way to do it because it avoids having to juggle connections on your smartphone. I stated "limited usage" in the summary, and the reason for that is I feel that while it works as a standalone unit -- basic functions work, it really should be used as part of SimpliSafe's home security package, which requires a subscription. Without paying for the service, the doorbell’s app will pop up an alert on your phone when the doorbell senses movement or when someone presses the button. You can pull up a live video view and talk remotely to the person in front of your door. You won't get video recording, so if you miss what happens, you can't go back and check. As a stand-alone unit, it also isn’t compatible with other security systems or with smart speakers, such as Google Home or Amazon Echo. Summing it all up, the SimpliSafe Video Doorbell Pro is a quality unit with a first-rate picture with a pleasing design. The only downside is that I feel it would be enjoyed more by people who already have the SimpliSafe system or are planning to get one. The lack of wider smart home support is a significant downside for those who don't have a subscription -- unless they don't require anything but the most basic features.

Great product and should be installed on all homes built as theire doorbell and first line of defense in delivery.

Works wonderful with your simplisafe kit. No power needed, that's a big plus. Resolution could be improved

It had a humming at my doorbell box when it was first installed. After a call to simplisafe they sent me a piece to remedy it for free.

We bought this to go with our complete security system can’t wait to give it a try for better review.

I love this doorbell. Just as good as the ring. Had both at two different houses and this is just as good for lessor price.

Wanted to get a video doorbell to compliment our SimpliSafe security system. Had existing doorbell wiring so this one worked well.
