This (Doorbell) does not support SmartThings, because of this limitations we can add this device to our Samsung Family Hub. SimpliSafe has a very limited integrating with Alexa and support minimal voice commands. It does not allow much customer automation. It looks like SimpliSafe has small team and has limited support. It was my mistake to select SimpliSafe Products.

It only works if it can connect directly to the internet and it doesn't connect to the base station like other peripherals do. So if the internet goes down for any reason (power outage, internet outage by ISP, or various other reasons) it can't automatically reconnect to the internet once it comes back up. To reset it and get it back up and working you have to dismantle it from it's base attached to your door frame using a tiny screw driver and reset it from the back. Over time after after a few internet outages that tiny screw can easily become stripped making it unable to be removed and therefore unable to be reset making it just a dump doorbell like the one it replaced. So disappointed with its design and wish I had gone with another system...
