    This is a complicated review. I bought an induction cooktop and an over the counter microwave. While they were installing the microwave I asked if they could also cut the stone from 29 in to 35 in to install the new cooktop (which will arrive a month later). They indicated they could but I needed to have a site survey first. I requested the site survey at BestBuy in the store in Orem. The Customer service representative checked that they just needed to go and measure to get the correct size to provide how much will it cost to cut the stone. A week later a just got a phone call from the guy (was still on time but soon to be late) who told me that they did not performed the cutting of the granite because it was too much of a liability and risk. Then he just hung the phone and did not showed up to do the measurements (which was what he was supposed to do, not cut the stone yet). I just needed an estimate and they did not showed up at all. I cannot provide more stars since no service was provided. All my other installations have gone great but this particular one was very poor.

      Thank you for taking the time to upload this review. Getting new kitchen appliances should be an exciting time, so it's disheartening to learn your experience took this unexpected turn. To my knowledge, cutting counter-tops is outside of the scope of work our technicians can handle. That said, this situation should have been handled very differently. We never intended to set the expectation and arrange an appointment for a service we don't handle, so I apologize that there was a misunderstanding of what our Agents can work on. I recommend sharing this experience with a manger at our Orem store, so that they can prevent this miscommunication from happening in the future, as well as to see if anything can be done to improve your experience.

    I stopped in to drop off a computer for service. Was told that they only work on a reservation system. Had to reserve a time slot for a time 4 days later. Only thing that happened during that time slot? They checked in the computer. Really? A reservation to check something in when I was standing right there 4 days prior?

    The Geek Squad members damaged my cartridge/needle on my turntable was told day before yesterday I would be contacted by management within 24 hours as it has been a month since it was damaged.Still damaged snd still waiting,this is how you treat a customer who has spent at least 4,000$ with you over the last 2 years

    Guy never sent me the quote to get the system installed. I called a few days later and lady said he would send it and I still have not received anything. A total waste of my $50 they charged me for the consultation.

    Nothing accomplished at all during the visit- a waste of both of our time- I had my wallet out WANTING TO SPEND $$ but complete waste - Home Advisor called and cancelled and set up site survey instead as he had no knowledge; site survey person came out and had no info - COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME

    Apparently the wrong kind of "GEEK" was scheduled, had to delay delivery so I could have the site survey BEFORE delivery, just to make sure all was okay? Got one call to confirm the appointment and all was good. Then just before the appointment I got another call and I was told that I had the wrong kind of "GEEK" scheduled, the person scheduled didn't do what I had scheduled them to do!? The person I talked to was VERY rude and when I asked if the right kind of "GEEK" could be sent I was told that could be done but I would have to delay my delivery another 1-2 weeks!!?? Again the person was very rude and couldn't care less that I had already delayed my delivery to have the survey! The sales guy I worked with was great but once I made the sale all I got was rude contact, LIES and a gigantic run around!!

    Geek Squad installed my TV professionally

    The Geek Squad set my TV up and attached the stand as well as teaching me how to use my remote. It went well

    I bought a wall oven at Best Buy that I had a great deal of trouble getting installed. After three visits by the installers, after which I made the modification they said were needed, I ended up returning the oven in frustration. I went to look at other wall ovens and was told that Best Buy offers a free site survey to ensure everything is ready for installation. I took them up on that. The person doing the site survey showed up on time. I showed him the opening for the oven and he told me he couldn't help me. He did site surveys for televisions and sound systems and knew nothing about appliances. That's a different person. At this point, I decided that Best Buy is not the place to purchase anything that requires installation, so I didn't follow up on his offer to get the right person to do the survey. I like shopping at Best Buy, but the oven purchase was a horrible experience. I ended up purchasing one from another store that was less expensive and their installers were able to do all the work needed to make it fit.

    I had to search for the phone number, once I found it (the local Best Buy number) I tried twice to call and never got through: the first time the wait time was too long, I couldn't wait. The second time the on-hold music ended then they disconnected me. Worthless.

    Our site survey determined our cooktop would mot fit. Our surveyor was supposed to contact management to help us find appropriate sized one and we have heard nothing. We had to take out flooring to install dishwasher.

    My first and last experience with Geek Squad. I purchased an outdoor TV, mount and soundbar. I arranged for Geek Squad installation. A team of (2) came out to evaluate the mounting placement. Based on their recommendation, I paid for an electrician to install an outdoor receptacle. A 2nd Geek Squad member came out for the actual installation, and I was told that he would not be able to mount the TV in the Geek Squad recommended location. He then suggested an alternate location. After making several holes in the stucco he informed me that he would not be able to install it in the secondary location. At that point I asked him to leave before I had any more holes in the stucco. I contacted a local TV installation company and they were able to mount and install the TV in the original location with no issues.

    Waited 40 minutes at Best Buy Rosenberg to make an speak to Geek Squad. They set up an appt. 1st Miscommunication: Guy said we have appts between 12p-8p on Tues. I said between 6p-8p would work. He said he would make a note. Day of appt: Got a text saying they would be here between 12p-2p. Took off of work to meet guy. He surveyed and said the job could be done. 2nd Miscommunication: No paperwork, no prices given. We went into Best Buy tonight to set it up. 3rd Miscommunication: They had no information from the survey? They said someone could come out and give us prices? Why didn't they do that the first time? We've already wasted 8 hours on this. Bottom line: Noone was happy. We wanted Best Buy Geek Squad as they have been stellar in the past. I mean EXCELLENT. Tonight was quite frankly the 3 stooges. Do yourself a favor. Stay away from the Geek Squad at the Rosenberg Location. We are hiring someone else to do the work (Cutting the cord).

    Wasn’t too impressed expected to have something to hand to my installer. I returned the cameras because I wasn’t exactly sure where to put them. I think I should be handed a plan where devices should go. There was no checking to see if my WiFi reached the spots outside where I would mount the camera

    Came out and did a great site visit….no follow up. I’ve called 2x since and no one calls me back. There’s a major problem with management here in San Antonio…workers don’t care and no one holds them accountable. Makes me wonder how long a project will take given this level of apathy and no care factor.

    My call to my Home Advisor went unanswered. My call to Total Tech went through two different people who finally suggested that I go to the closest Best Buy store. I did that and they arranged for a Geek Squad visit a week later. Dustin came to our house, was very polite and discussed the proper device we should buy, but couldn't set up an installation appointment himself. I went back to the store and arranged for an installation. Miguel showed up on time and was very polite, but he had no idea why he was there. A few days later Jonathan showed up unannounced. However, an e-mail announcement was sent, but just before he arrived and way before we were checking our mail that day. By then I had canceled the whole thing. I will give Best Buy another chance because I have had excellent service in the past, and want to believe that this experience was just a fluke. Please do better next time; I want to be a happy customer!

    Didn’t address glare I am now getting on my new wall mount tv. Maybe I didn’t understand what a Site Survey is for. Disappointed overall.The Greek squad installer was knowledgeable But by then the TV is in the house. Maybe I would have purchased a different TV if I knew in advance that there would be any issues
