Horrible experience

Completely unprofessional, one of the 2 techs took 3 personal phone calls that he stepped out for leaving the other tech to complete the evaluation. They had personal conversations related to the phone calls that had nothing to do with the work in my home. Focus your energy and attention to the customer you're encouraging to use your services, rather than what took place. Never again!!!

A joke

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After a thorough visit by their expert to go over a home theater and security system, we were told they needed to set us up with a site survey to verify things. Two geek squad people came out for the "survey" and basically hadn't a clue at what was gone over on our hour plus previous visit. Told us what could be done in the theater room and more importantly, what they couldn't do...which I didn't understand. They left and we were dumfounded at the experience we just had. It was a free service but so not worth our time. On top of that there was absolutely no follow up from anyone at Best Buy. We had been discussing close to $10,000 worth of product and install. Not a word from anyone, unbelievable. I found a local company who does theater and security. Our visit with them was the opposite of the Best Buys visit. Less then a week later our security is set up, as well as our home theater. Everything how we had hoped and everything BB said couldn't be done.

False Expectations and failed results

The advance Team was from the Geek squad and they assessed and determined what we needed for the installation. After cancelling twice, finally on the third try ( 3 weeks later) a substitute team ( not the Geek Squad) came out to do the install. They came without any of the cables and necessary items to do the work. Needless to say I sent them home. I bought the needed HDMI cables and performed the installation myself .

Could not work in my location

The technician went over and beyond, however, looking for ways to get it done. He consulted other techs and got back to me within an hour. But the product was a Outdoor TV antenna that needed to be mounted in an attic, and that would not work. Needed one that is exterior mounted. Tech was better than average, for sure.

Sit survey was a big disaster

After waiting almost a month for the appointment they sent the wrong tech . I was looking for home security survey and got a rep for home entertainment. He was suppose to contact Best Buy to arrange for the right tech.Best buy never called. I called support explained the situation and they told me they would send the right tech for a site survey. Shortly after the order was put in I got a call from the tech assigned asking the nature of the “ problem” it turns out the again assigned the wrong tech. He was a repair tech not site survey. I contacted Best Buy customer complaints and was assured someone would get back to me. No one has. Best Buy you lost the sale. Most likely my business . I currently hold the highest elite status Best Buy has. This is no way to treat a good customer

Supposed to expand wireless in the house.

The consultant said Geek Squad could do the work, but suggested upgrading the modem and the mesh network. The consultant sent me SKUs of the equipment he thought would work best. The installers did not bring the equipment we discussed. The new mesh equipment did not make any improvements. I had request support to put in a wireless access point. When I called Gee Squad to come and take the mesh equipment back and help me with the access point. The installer said I needed a computer guy and they were home entertainment installers. He also said Geek Squad does not do that kind of work. To return the equipment and get a refund, I had to go to a Best Buy and return it. It took a long time because they did not have a receipt since it was part of a site survey call.

OTHER PEOPLE INSTALLED OUR INCOMPETENTEQUIPMENT

He was wonderful. then we never heard from anyone again. we went to the store on Oxford Valley Road in Langhorne. They said there was no one there to talk to us. They would have someone call us. We heard from some manager asking us to give him other phone numbers to contact us and we sent it to him. I have his email. Asof today 2/6/21 we have not heard from anyone, We contacted someone else in Newtown who connected everything and put the tv on the wall. We are buying our new 75 inch tv from them and they will install. we want to CANCEL OUR GEEK AGREEMENT WITH YOU. THE FIRST TIME WE NEEDED YOU AND THERE WAS NO RESPONSE, I WOULD NOT REFER ANYONE TO YOUR GEEK SQUAD. VERY DISSATISFED WITH YOUR ORGANIZATION AND THE MANAGER WHO RESPONDED TO US.

Unbelievably poor service

After 3 visits to my home and over an hour on the telephone with a very sympathetic employee who scheduled yet another visit, the team called with no clear idea of what was needed to properly install my 75” tv and without the materials necessary. After explaining yet again what the installation required, I was told that “we normally don’t do that,” when, in fact, “that” is precisely what the helpful employee had thoroughly documented. Moreover, the last team had never reviewed those notes. I promptly cancelled the impending visit. Clearly, the installation team is unsupervised and unmotivated to serve customers. I won’t waste any more time with Best Buy, which clearly isn’t.

2nd chance and still no luck

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was the 2nd attempt at getting the correct guy out to Survey the location in order to verify that we had everything prepared for our delivery. The 1st guy that they had sent out was from a separate department and could not help us in any way. He offered to reschedule with the correct Department But never followed through so I went in store and did it myself. After rescheduling D gentleman who was prescribed Failed to make the appointment deadline. In fact when called he had not left the store in seemed surprised when I notified him that he had an appointment that he was already a 1/2 hour late for. He then informed me that he was a salesman and not the technician that on 2 occasions I was told I was getting. Granted both sets of "technicians" were very nice And hospitable But at this point I'm relying on Gut instinct and luck. Let's hope the delivery goes smoothly.

NOT HAPPY!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm concerned that I wasn't told that I would have to pay to install the RING FLOODLIGHT CAM WIRED sku 6460923 Model #:BO8F6GPQQ7. Due to this situation, I'm no longer interested in purchasing the floodlight and will not be paying for an installation of this product. I expect a credit of $299.98 along with the sales tax for these 2 items. I'm looking forward to having the Ring Video Doorbell 3 installed on February 2, 2022. Also, the way Best Buy takes care of it's customers who call the store is ridiculous. The calls are answered by someone at a call center not at the store. I had questions about my order and asked for a sales person to call me back. NO ONE CALLED. THIS IS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

No follow up to fix a problem that was created

I have an ECHO device which was not a part of the wifi installation and was not touched or discussed. After Jonathan left I attempted to use my ECHO which I use daily to keep in contact with my family. The device has given me absolutely no trouble but after the wifi installation the ECHO is malfunctioning!!!! My family could receive visual but they had no audio. Both ends had done nothing to change the usual pattern of use. Something is wrong. Your rep. spoke to me about the problem and I was told a person with knowledge of ECHO devices would be helping to correct whatever is wrong with the Echo. 13 days have gone by and no word from anyone....Who dropped the ball? Please send someone to fix my problem.....Ethel Patricia Gulliver

No show and then show and no word

Service person was very nice and professional and then like a one night stand, he disappeared and was never heard from again. Last time no one showed up at all after setting the appt in store and waiting all day. So I guess that's a start. Maybe we have to set a 3rd appointment, hope they show up, and then they will follow up with us on what can be done for us as far as being able to activate the ethernet in the rooms where the wire is run but not yet ready for plug and play. There is a star because someone showed the 2nd time. Extremely disappointing. With everyone using much more bandwidth, wifi isn't cutting it. Need to be hardwired :(

Eufy 2 Flood Light Security Camera System.

No one contacted me or showed up. I stopped in again to request an on-site survey in November. A technician (Andrew) showed up a few days later. We toured my property and I explained desire to have four units. Andrew stated Best Buy would not be able to accommodate, but they could work through a third party vendor. We’re less than six hours from 2022 and I have yet to have been contacted by anyone. Very disappointed. Best Buy service is usually a lot better than this.

Poor service and likely a scam run by Best Buy

I have been waiting for a response for this service for over 3 weeks and still no word! I contacted the technician who evaluated the issue and he said to contact Best Buy. Of course I did and to my surprise Best Buy had no information on this. What a rip off. I will be looking at some sort of legal recourse
