Home Theater Survey that didn't happen.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went to Best Buy & requested a home survey to determine what would be the best system for a "Bluetooth" surround system for the entire home. On the day of the requested visit, the assigned person did not show up. I called the Best Buy phone number, & after 6 transfers, I was told that the guy quit. I had to make another appointment in person, again. This time two "Geek Squad" men, that were installers, gave me some info and were in my home for less than 10 minutes and then left.

My husband and I wanted to install a projector into our media room. No suggestions were made. Not follow up and we are in the exact same predicament as before they came out. Nothing was resolved.

Terrible ! No show. No service .

I waited the entire day for someone to come to my house; nobody showed up then I got a call saying it was not necessary to have someone come to my house to provide quote on getting security camera installed and that somebody would call me instead. No call up to this day. I can't believe a company like best buy would act so irresponsibly. I went to the store too so they could take a look at my cell. They said come back in an hour for an appt. I came back an hour later and they asked to sit down and wait! what is the point of an appt. I waited 25 minutes and walked out.

Poor customer service

Called and was on hold for 51 minutes, woman said nothing in file she would email the person who came out and call me back. Never called back.

Tv overpriced ,pressure tactics

I want a honest opinion like i got from service tech #1 ,This has been going on for 9 months.i will call corporate next week ,i believe your techs are pressure salesman, with no other agenda except leading customers into purchasing TVS at over inflated prices,i will file a consumer complaint

Huge waste of time and money

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Geek Squad sent out an agent for a site survey regarding my ring cameras and internet. He said no problem, a mesh wifi system will take care of the problem easily, so I purchased the system he recommended. The following week another agent came out to install it and said, “This will never work “. He asked me who came out and I told him the young man’s name. He said that he had no idea why he was sent out for this problem because he worked in home theater. I called the geek squad and had to make arrangements to return the wifi system. The last agent who came out had no suggestions to fix the wifi problem with my Ring cameras that I also purchased from Best Buy but it was too late to return the cameras. So far, this $200 service purchase has been useless.

What happened to customer service?

The original person who they had sent a picture of did not show up. Two gentleman came much earlier than the appointment. This just isn’t professional. I never got a single email with a write up of suggestions either. I ended up going to the store many times with questions and ended up buying what I had talked over with one of the sales clerks.

Site Survey

Received an email one day later that said proposal was coming in 1-2 days. No proposal has been received in the two weeks since the visit.

Geek Squad won't bury cable wires!

Wanted me to pay to $330 for an advanced install with me doing all the hard work. Agent also questioned why I wanted Landscape speakers/why I purchased them and tried suggesting just getting a wireless speakers. Agent also did the same thing when asking about in ceiling speakers in the house. Was luckily able to get another company install them. I was initially told Geek Squad would be able to do everything. Very displeased with my experience.

Very slow response for an estimate
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I requested an estimate for hiding My theater system wires in the wall / installation etc. I waited 7-8 days and when I received no estimate , I called the tech that came to My house and had to leave a message . Instead of calling Me back , I received an estimate via email . While having additional questions about the email and not feeling My questions would be answered in a timely fashion , I the job won't be done by Best Buy . I'm an Elite Plus Member and have qualified to be 1 next year already and this was a disappointing experience .

No resolution

The expert was a no show. No call. Never heard from Best Buy. I got the confirmation robo call the day before. Confirmed appointment. Adrian never showed to further diagnosis the situation. That's the second time Adrian was scheduled to come out. So, I've had 3 appointment with Best Buy and only one did anyone show up. I have the google front door cam, so I know no one showed. If there was any other company I could go to instead, I would.

Did not feel like a valued customer

He'd rather be in a mansion selling Home theaters, then selling 3 (40'-50') tv's to a single Mom. For the record I didn't ask for you to come to my apartment.

Geek Squad Site Visit

I've been asking for a while now to have the proposal sent to me so I can review and place an on-line order. I keep being sent an email similar to the one I am now responding to, but there's no proposal. I've now asked your guy to email me the proposal for my review and I will then take to the Best Buy store to make the purchase. You really need to redesign your email page so there is a clear section for proposals and the ability to order them on-line. Right now...it isn't working for your customers. All I see are a bunch of ads which I'm not interested in.

Previous products left non operational

Said things that were previously hooked into WiFi wotkd work, which they didn’t. After their install I I discovered issues, left several messages for the Geek installer to call and never did.

No followup from geek squad

Later that day he sent me an email which was password protected. I could not get in touch with him to get a password, he never followed up with me to see if I had questions. How do you send a customer an email with no password?? I made multiple calls to the 800 number for geek squad and I was told that I would be contacted by phone or email with the password. No one ever got back to me. I guess my potential $8,000 order was not enough to get any attention. In short, no followup, no interest, no sale, lost customer. I’m sure nothing will come of this review either.
