No follow up

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very pleasant and I’m sure capable Geek squad member came to assess mounting my TVs. I originally was debating about the potential price and number of TVs. I called and left a voicemail about adding the 2nd TV. However, I never heard from anyone about a quote or moving forward. After 2 weeks, I called the store back and the employee I spoke with thought that was unusual to not have any further contact. I was supposed to hear from a BesrBuy member and still have not heard after an additional 2 weeks. I’m disappointed in the customer service and would have at least appreciated some answer or explanation. With the various options and businesses available, I will not be using BestBuy in the future.

You don't get what you pay for

I bought what i thought was a 2 yr extended geek squad warranty according to best buy employee to go with the manufacturers 1 yr 11/27/2020 and they refuse to repair 70 in samsung tv for a second time. Screen and capacitor went out now twice

Waste of time

We make an appointment and the day before I get a call from tech saying that the appointment needed to be changed. Appointment was rescheduled for Dec 27. Tech never shows. I called the number, spoke to Anna in scheduling, where I was told the “system rescheduled me” when I asked how and why she said she didn’t know. I asked to speak to a supervisor, she said “no, but one would call me back”. It’s been a week and I’m still waiting! I guess when Best Buy was in financial troubles they focused on customer service, but now that finances are better, customer service is no longer important! It’s truly a shame...

Bad customer service no call or no show

They’ve no showed or called 3 different appointments Ive scheduled. I even went to store to find out what problem was and they had no record of any of my appointments. I personally scheduled one in store with technician and they did the same thing no show or called. Extremely bad customer service and lack of professionalism.

Site inspector conflict with Geek Squad installers

Best Buy representative visited my home to inspect my wall and determine whether tv cables could be hidden behind the wall. They confirmed that they could be hidden. In short, months later when i finally received the tv, the Geek Squad said that i was giving wrong information and that the cables could not be hidden. The information was conflicting and as a result i the 75 inch tv has been mounted on the wall with ugly cables hanging from it to the floor.

No respect for someone’s time

However, they never provided a quote after the tech committed. Followed up calling into store which was 800#. Transferred 5 times before someone took my information down. No one has followed up since. Still no quote. Process started in store September 2022. this review is dated 11/18/22.

No Follow up since 9/23/22

It was a different dept that was to call the next day. I called Geek Squad and they could not find their notes and said i would have to start over and it would take 3 weeks before i could have another appt. I would like someone to look into this and have a seasoned manager call me and help me out.I am so frustrated.

Poor Customer Service

They tried to deliver without install or the parts to do so. He never followed up make a million excuses on how busy he was so I canceled and you lost thousands of dollars in business.

Thief's stole my $500 Dyson Vacuum Cleaner

After installing wires for my theater they asked if they could use my vacuum to clean up. I obliged. One of the workers commented how much his girl friend wants one of these vacuums. A few days I go to use it and it's gone. I have contacted Geek Squad management about 30 times and get put off or told I will be called back later. This never happens. They don't care. They got their money and their employees got away with stealing from a customer. Before ever calling store management I tried calling the actual techs the themselves to see if they took it by accident, however they blocked me immediately without ever answering.

Left hand does not know what right hand is doing

Your international call center and your US call center are not aligned. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing 3. Your processess are managed poorly in your Longmont, CO store 4. We had to reschedule our home visit and your call centers cannot update their system. They think our original appointment is still standing tho we've cancelled with you twice. I hope our new appointment is accurate, but we won't know until the day because getting on the phone with you is awful!!!

Bad service

I was told management would call within a day to schedule the work. Management never called. I called multiple times and was told again that they would forward my message to management and management would return my call ASAP. Management has NEVER called. The work has never been done. Communication with GeekSquard has been thoroughly awful.

Video surveillance cameras

The appointment was cancelled many times and rescheduled many times! I couldn’t reach anyone at the local store by phone, continued to get offshore folks that was no help. Finally after 8 weeks we were told the cameras was unavailable. They billed our best buy account and charged a late fee that they refuse to credit!! This experience was not good.

The guys came out and looked at the tv mount and said " I do not like this one so i wont install it, return it and buy this one. " Well buddy it doesn't matter what you like or do not like. I bought it for a reason and I like the mount because its going in my home, I use on a daily base. He just left. I had my father and great grandfather come over to help me install and hang up the tv. Tv mount works great and does just what I want it to do. I will never use Geek Squad again.

What a Failure of my time!

This is not what the person who set up the appointment told me. There is no co-ordination between Geek's and other departments at Best Buy. Under qualified technicians and to busy getting your charge card for trip that they did not listen to me the client. Shabby

I called for support and was told it didn't apply. I had to take it ti the store. I have a brand new Gerk contract that is worthless. Fyi, i also have a full Sonos home theater and Sony large screen. So I'm not that green at connecting.

Store experience was great, all down hill after

Geek squad came out to my house to inspect my brick mantel where the TV would be mounted. Neither Geek Squad member had any idea how to install a TV on a brick mantel but said they would be the ones doing it. Their complete lack of confidence and knowledge made me go back to the store and cancel the entire order. They were able to refund everything except for the tech support. I have called geek squad several times since and still have not been refunded the $215. I have been told a different answer each time. I just want my money back!

Awful service!!!!!

We are a month out and no follow up. Upon calling Best Buy no one can seem to get an answer and they want to start over! She spent an hour at our home, and no answers. The appointment before that was just missed...no one showed and we stayed home to wait. This service is terrible!!!
