The Skullcandy Indy Truly Wireless Earbuds are a nice change from using the wired type. The set up was very simple out of the box with good instructions on how to proceed. They paired quickly too. They are very comfy and can wear for a few hours with no ear issues, thankfully there are a few sizes to play around with for best fit. The sound quality is great and it keeps background noise out. Call quality is good but don’t talk too loud, hubby kept telling me I was yelling (so maybe I have a loud voice LOL)! They stayed put while I was walking on the treadmill but not sure that would be the case if I were running. The charge lasted for a while about 5 hrs and charged pretty quickly, love the little charging case. Tapping on the earpiece takes getting used to but easy enough to do, just not something I enjoyed. My son tried them to compare to his Apple ones and said they were almost as good. I would recommend for the price point. I enjoy Skullcandy products in general.

    Good Bluetooth Headphones

These Skullcandy Indy Truly Wireless Earbuds are a good mid-priced set. They have a sleek black design, come with a dual-purpose storage and charging case, and a USB-to-micro USB charging cord. Pop the earbuds in the case, plug it in, and they charge quickly. Works with any USB charger, charging outlet or plug into your computer. Charger not included. The Indy earbuds paired easily with my iPad. However, my husband could not pair the earbuds with two devices he uses—a MacBook and and an iPhone—and use the earbuds with one device at a time. The sound level was lower than expected when using the earbuds with an iPad game, so I had to turn the volume up way past the 5 bars I would use without headphones. The volume was closer to expected with YouTube videos and music, but still not as loud as it should be. There was sound no lag time with the game, but an annoying lag time when typing on the iPad keyboard. The sound quality is good, but no bass and treble settings. The in-ear design allows the wearer to hear outside noises, so these earbuds would work well for walking in public while listening to music, or talking on the phone. Summary: a good, not great, set of earbuds. Appropriate for a mid-range price point.

    It’s Worth the Price

Others complained about connection issues, but I have personally not had a single issue. They do pair a bit slower than AirPods, but mine have always paired and worked perfectly on an iPhone X. The headphones are nothing crazy in the volume department, but the sound is loud enough for me. The good thing is that these drown out lots of noise, way more than expected, so the lower volume is not a big deal. They are comfortable and do not move whatsoever. Airpods always have a feeling of falling out but not these. They are also a little more workout friendly than AirPods which is a plus. If you don’t like Skullcandy’s EQ they have on headphones, which is bass-heavy, you will not like these. I regularly listen to music on Sony extra bass over-ear headphones so these are a closer match to those. Overall, for $80, I don’t think you can go wrong.

    Great sound, terrible fit

I’m glad I didn’t review these right after getting these. I’ve had them for a month now and they are a little frustrating. I’ll start with the pros first; Pros: Sound quality - Awesome Bass, great mids as well. Overall the balancing is pretty nice. Cons: Unfortunately probably more bad than good, for me personally. The fit is terrible. Idk if it’s just my sensitive cartilage or if they’re truly as bad as I think they are. My ears aren’t incredibly oily, but yet the rubber stability gels slide off constantly. The buds gels themself are also pretty uncomfortable. I switched the tips to the standard gels off of the Ink’d+ (Which are great but durability is awful- been through 3 pairs). Touch controls: Too much lag. They don’t always get your “touch” or they react when slightly touching. Hard to explain, but they are just very hit and miss. Overall, I don’t think they’re worth the money. $50 at best. Trying out the JLab AirExecutives currently, which right off the bat are MUCH comfier and the touch sensitivity is what these (Indy’s) should have.

These headphones are an obvious airpod imitator, but with a much more bargain price. But you get what you pay for too. About the only advantage of these vs. airpods is I think the black color is more attractive than apple white, and the fit is better, only because these have an eargel on each one. They do have BT 5.0, which is nice, and they paired up fairly quickly with my Galaxy phone. Reception is ok and about average compared to my other wireless earbuds, but not as good as my neckband style wireless headphones. Charging is via micro-usb - no usb-C or wireless charging available. The sound quality is so-so. About the same as the airpods, but definitely not bassy or punchy. Overall, these are a good value if you can find them on sale, but I wouldn't pay more than $50 for them. At full retail price, you're better off spending a few dollars more and getting the Samsung earbuds with wireless charging.

I really wanted to like these, but they proved to be the most miserable item that I've purchased in years. I kept them for nearly a month giving them the benefit of the doubt before finally deciding enough was enough and exchanging them for a different set. I bought them primarily to use at the gym, but they would not fit securely no matter what combination of the supplied tips were used. I found myself constantly having to adjust them to try to maintain enough of a seal to block some of the ambient noise. When you could get enough of a seal to hear the music you were trying to listen to, the sound quality is poor at best- they are tinny and harsh and certainly not bass friendly, as they rattle pretty unbearably at the first inkling of low frequencies no matter the genre of music. I constantly had to run them at maximum volume as well to be able to hear the music at an acceptable level. They often fell out of my ears, even while sitting still and typing- the slightest movement was enough to dislodge them from my ears. They frequently lost pairing with each other, and while walking in Manhattan I found them to be utterly useless- constant interference and dropping out, especially if I dared to put the phone in the pocket of my jacket. The touch controls hardly work when you want them to. They seemed to only respond when I was adjusting them. I often wear a beanie during workouts, and as soon as I would break a sweat, the beanie would touch the controls and the volume would randomly adjust, songs would rewind and Siri would activate at seemingly. They look good and the packaging is nice, but that's where the value of these runs out. In theory, they are wonderful, in actuality, they are absolutely infuriating to deal with and not worth the price in any way. Hopefully, I am an outlier and people are having a better experience, but I would not recommend these to anyone I care about.

I went with these earbuds because they had such a long battery life. That is the only thing I liked about them. They are too big to fit snugly in my ear. You cannot use the left bud without the right so I'm not able to use one until it has no battery left and then switch to the other. And then there's the fact that even with my phone on my person there is crackling and breakups continuously which since I'm listening to audio books is quite a pain in the butt. It also randomly turns off with no touch at all.

Admittedly, I had become pretty envious of Apple's own earbuds when they first came out, but bearing earphones of another form factor, there simply wasn't enough of a need to go after them, and then I had a chance to review Skullcandy's offering. The Skullcandy wireless earbuds make for a great foray into the world of earbud-based earphones. While they are independent ear-formed devices, they synchronize well together and with smartphone devices. In fact, the only issue I have with them is they're not great with lower-frequency sounds, so if you want to hear a lot of bass, you might want to consider another pair. I have an iPhone Xs Max, and the pairing process was simple. Per the included instructions, I simply had to depress my finger against the side of one of the earbuds to begin the pairing process. Once that was completed, I was able to see the mini headphone/batter icon in the upper-right of my phone's screen, and all audio was heard. The included storage/charging pod is similarly simple -- it uses a standard USB/micro USB charging cable and has three LED lights on the outside to show how charged the earbuds are. Taking phone calls or holding audio conferences was similarly a breeze, though it's a good idea to memorize the sequences of "finger pushes" either being on the left or right device -- I've accidentally hung up on muted conversations because I hit the left device in the "wrong" way! In spite of learning how to handle each earbud, I definitely appreciate the wireless freedom that eabuds allow and intend to have them replace my standard set of wired Apple earphones :)

I’ve been using these headphones for a few days and I feel they’re decent but missed the mark. The setup process was very easy and paired with no issues. The design is similar to other languages on the market but I have to say with the rubber attachments makes it have a nice fit to your ear. The problem is the sound quality that it boasts about. I feel that it misses the mark and should be of better quality. Sounds very similar to their gummy headphones I used to buy and when you turn it up you hear almost crackling which was off putting for me.

I love skullcandy they have always been my main choice and first pickin headphones. I have an android so during the airpods rave I thought this would be a great selection especially for the price. Unfortunately, the headphones don't sit in the ear well or all that comfortably with the notch that's supposed to lock into the ear. The only way I was able to get then to stay in consistently was by removing the notch that hooks in. The sound quality is fantastic as always from skullcandy but that's only if I can get the earbuds to connect to my phone. I've tried resetting them more than once but it's still a 50-50 chance whether or not they will connect. They also disconnect randomly especially when I'm making a call. Overall I'm disappointed and really wish I could get a refund.

    Great fit. That's all

The fit of these headphones was perfect! They didn't hurt my ears or fall out. However, that is where the pros stop. They were really difficult to connect to my phone. If I tried switching to different device it was a lot of work and took forever. I tried taking one out and putting it back in the case so I wouldn't loose it and it would turn the other one off. I tried turning it back on and couldn't. So you have to have both in at all times, I don't like that. My husband had these and after about 3 uses one stopped working. We figured it was just a fluke, a bad pair. best buy exchanged them no problem. I had just gotten mine so I started using them more to see if they were ok before our long trip. On about the 5th use the left ear would just turn off. I made sure they were both charged but that wasn't the problem. Every time I use them the left ear just turns off.

I went into buying these ear buds because ive been a long time supporter of skullcandy products. Bang for buck they are always a great choice. These phones arent necessarily an exception. They sound great, but they DO NOT STAY IN YOUR EAR AT ALL. For the whole 30 seconds you get before they fall out of your ear on their own they sound fantastic, but just due to the sheer size of these things they fall out of your ear due to thier weight. Ive tried all three of the tip sizes they come with plus tips from my old skullcandy earbuds that ive been using for the few months prior and non fix this problem. Im defiently going to be asking for a refund on this product

I have used skullcandy products for years and have always wanted to have something that is an airpods equivalent, so when skullcandy announced the Indy's, I was so on board. When I got them I will admit, getting used to the tapping controls was weird at first, but after you get tused to them and start using them, skullcandy delivers. Audio is crisp, clean, and very tuned to what skullcandy is known for. Case is a bit bulky, but for what it is, it works. They feel very comfortable in my ears and I love the guards that keep them in place while in my ears. Overall, 9/10, 4/5 stars, great product and highly recommend them

Please, for your own sake, DON’T buy these unless you literally have super hearing!!! I’ve always been a fan of Skullcandy. I was very happy with my Smokin’ Buds 2 wireless I bought a few years ago and loved skullcandy ever since. That being said, these headphones are a joke! Literally! I can’t think of any other logical reason why a reputable brand like Skullcandy would create such terrible earbuds and sell them for almost $80!!! The second I put them in I noticed I couldn’t hear a thing despite the volume being at about 60%. So I turned up the volume a little at a time until it maxed out and finally got the volume to about the level of a whisper. Before, I’d ALWAYS set my headphones at about 80% volume—never maxed out. I immediately went to google to research the issue. I thought “mine gotta be defective, right?” NOPE! I saw several reviews that said that these earbuds are PURPOSELY made quiet to “protect the hearing of the youth demographic.” I know everything you’ll read or watch about them looks really great and somehow they even get great reviews on YouTube! Don’t believe any of it! Bottom line—they’re literally just $80 earplugs! On the bright side, Best Buy has a 14 or 15 day return/exchange policy. So you can exchange them for a real pair of true wireless earbuds! That’s what I did!
