The newer one is better and more secure. This one uses finger print only and is not as sleek and doesn't really have any additonal features. I'd recommend getting the newest one which uses your veins on your palm as a key, and has a hidden keylock behind the doorbell, a camera, and viewing screen.

Would recommend a second battery if using for an Airbnb as the battery takes awhile to recharge. Have had connection issues with other Eufy locks and trying a model with a rechargeable battery to see if it does better.

Bateery dirs every 2 weeks. I even changed the setting to extend the battery life. Still dies just as quick. Attempted to contact eufy support to file a claim, for maybe a faulty battery. The claim went no where. They asked me to send a receipt. I bought this online and sent the only online order information i had and they kept saying that is not a receipt. It has the order number, itme and payment infor.ation. i dont understand what other receipt they are asking for.
