I have the model T8520J11 Eufy smart lock on one door and love it. It always works, it only needs to be charged once or twice a year, and the sound is a pleasant soft "bing" when it opens or locks. Unfortunately, that one's now discontinued, so I bought this one in February for another door. I kind of hate it. I still like the app and its functionality. But the lock itself? Already in four months the battery has run down entirely TWICE, even though I calibrated it carefully from the outset--thank goodness I had the manual key on my keychain. The fingerprint sensor and the keypad are both finicky and don't always respond--god forbid you have a particle of dust on your fingertips. And the sound is a punitive BEEP BEEP BEEP, whether opening or closing, successful or unsuccessful, it sounds like a bad 90s alarm clock or an error. Which I'm afraid purchasing this one was. After five months, I've had enough with this one and will scour eBay for the previous model.

Horrible Google Home Compatibility

The device itself is well made. The first party app (Eufy app) works seamlessly with the device. The device responds almost instantly. The issue begins when you want to integrate this with your smart home ecosystem.
Eufy markets this as Google Home compatible. However, to even pair the lock into Google Home app may take several tries before it finally succeed. Once it's connected, it'll function well until it does not.
Give it several hours, and you will notice the lock appearing as offline on Google Home app. However, when you check on Eufy app, it is there online and showing every bit of data you could ever want. As of now, I have found no way of solving this. I have tried resetting the lock, repairing the lock to Eufy app and Google Home app, restarting home network, etc. None of them has worked.
Overall, the device works well if you do not have any intention of integrating this with third party ecosystem, even if Eufy claims the ecosystem is fully supported. If you want to use Apple Home or Google Home, then look away from Eufy.
