Accurate Design

The installation was very simple, no harder than installing a door lock. I enjoy the alerts and the quality of the video at 2k is real good. But the feature i truly am speechless about is the fingerprint entry, the keyless entry is amazing. I have had other keyless entry locks but they never worked right and hassled to get inside the house. The eufy smart lock system is near flawless, it never has issues reading my print and unlocking. Even in mild rain with slight water on my hands , it accurately reads my fingerprints. It works so good i funny even cart the keys anymore. The video has a nice field of vision and captures anyone approaching the door. Pinches the system captures them, the quality of the video 2k, does a great job of showing you the detail in their faces and clothing. It is not 4k quality but much better than 1080. I do recommend you have the necessary wifi speeds to be able to stream any video seamlessly. I love this lock, it makes the entry door seem so futuristic.

Easy, Quality, Security

I didn't take a sledge hammer to it but by feel alone it should survive a considerable attack. I have had a code type lock for some time now and it is convenient to have entry codes that I can change for folks that may need access to the house but not all the time. This takes that to a new level. Combining the lock, video security and door bell is fantastic. Out of the box things are very straight forward. You will need to charge the battery first but once that is done replacing your old deadbolt is quite straight forward. Most people should be able to DIY this in under 20 minutes. Having a proprietary battery did concern me somewhat but I will order another one to have as a backup as soon as they are available. Keyed access is available but that would require lugging one around which is fine for me but not something I would do for guests that I want to have access to my home. The extra battery should solve this as I can just swap it out before it dies. The camera provides a great view both daytime and at night. The finger print sensor is also a huge improvement from the key code lock this replaces. It is so much faster to get inside without the need to enter a string of numbers and is also more secure should you be entering with someone that you don't want to know the code. According to the website, you can assign up to 100 users and save up to 50 fingerprints - impressive. Another feature that is nice is that the video recorder is actually in the door bell module. Placing this out of the way increases the possibility that you can retrieve video of a break-in even if the device is damaged. All in all this is a quality device which is what I would expect from eufy and personally I feel more secure now that it is installed in my main entry.

You have to get one!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought I was purchasing a doorbell camera and didn’t realize it was also a smart deadbolt. I’d never even known that a smart doorbell existed and now I have no idea how we ever lived without one. Our 14 year old son walks to and from the school bus stop every day and getting him to remember to take his key with him every day was always a challenge. This changed all of that; he can now lock and unlock the door with his fingerprint or his code and it also gives me an alert in the app wherever there’s an event so I can tell what time he leaves and gets home each day. Just recently my husband got locked out of the house and had to wait for me to make my hour long commute because I had the only other key; this lock comes with the ability to unlock it remotely through the app so I could have let him in from where I was out of town. The app notifies me when the door is locked and unlocked manually but also let me set up a user profile for everyone in our house, so it will tell me if my husband locks the door using his code or if my son unlocked the door using his fingerprint. The camera settings are so easy to adjust to customize the recordings and the video quality is so clear it’s unreal. The other day a FedEx carrier left a package on my porch and when she stopped to take a picture of where she left it I was able to see her badge details from where it was hanging on her shirt. The installation and set up was time consuming but actually quite easy; I installed it and set it up myself but it would have been easier to have a second set of hands. I highly recommend this, I can’t give it high enough praise. I have been so impressed and am so glad that we decided to give it a try.

Too much in one package?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had several Eufy products and feel like they offer good quality and improve with each new generation of tech they put out. I would say that’s true of the Smart Video Lock/Doorbell as well. Overall, it has everything you could want and combines several products that usually have to be purchased separately into one item. That’s good for the most part but also my one con. I have a security screen door over my front door and like to close (and usually lock that) and have my smart lock inside the screen door, on my main front door. Problem with that here is the door lock and video also have my doorbell. So I can’t really utilize the doorbell without leaving my security screen open. I didn’t take a star off for that though because that’s specific to my house, not the product. That aside, setup is simple, video quality is excellent, and everything functions as expected. In fact, the video quality is better than a lot of the video doorbells on the market in terms of the 2K quality it offers. I also really like that you can use a code to unlock the door OR program your fingerprint for super quick access. That’s a good feature that makes getting inside (especially if you have groceries in your arms!) much quicker and easier. So overall, I’d absolutely recommend this product and like the idea of the 3-in-1 items in one product, it just isn’t quite right for my particular setup with a security screen door. I could see it being very useful in an apartment or condo, or just a house that doesn’t have a screen door like I do.

Excellent device!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the Eufy doorbell and then the separate eufy lock with keypad up to getting this, I loved them both as they worked flawlessly but this all in one is a great package and something that works better than the two older units. Installation is very easy as is the app setup. You get the bridge/chime in the box as well as the lock and keypad. This has everything you need. You have a smart lock, with pin, fingerprint scanner, manual key, camera, and doorbell with a 2 way mic and speaker. The fingerprint sensor is a new addition and welcome addition and works really well. Also another big bonus with eufy is you don’t have any subscriptions unlike others. Clips are stored locally with an as card, you can buy a cloud storage option but I’ve never needed to use something like that. I love that I don’t have to pay to see me clips. When I’m use it’s super clear and that 2K resolution really does impress, even at night time you can see everything with really good clarity. The volume is also great and the chime is very loud and can be heard all over my 1700sqft home. Overall I love this and think you will too

Very smart lock with flaws
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm LOVING the eufy smart series from Anker. These products are great. This smart lock is no exception. It feels like a mash up of their excellent video doorbell products and their smart lock. My biggest complaint, and reason for not rating it 5 stars is that unfortunately their ecosystem is a little fractured. in less than 18 months they have come out with 3 different versions of their base station, and unfortunately NONE of their lock series are compatible with the base station to date, this product included. The setup is very straightforward once you get the lock bridge installed and connected to your network. The only mildly redeeming feature here is that the app is the same for the smart bridge and the home base at least. I just don't like that I have to have multiple devices to connect my other doorbells, cameras, and this video smart lock. Notifications and human detection all seem on par with their excellent camera offerings. I have yet to work out if I can use the (not connected) home base as an additional chime or the only chime for this device. Physical installation is fairly easy, especially if you're replacing an existing deadbolt. It DOES require a little bit more room and might be challenging in some door setups and/or if you have a screen door on the door you're attempting to lock up. Overall I think this is well made and the device is in line with eufy/Anker's ecosystem, just with one major deal breaking flaw for me.

Love the lock

What i was disappointed about was the paid installation the technicians are not locksmiths so any doorway not properly installed or with narrow lock gauges that need modification you will have to hire a locksmith to correct. Other than that it works like a charm!

Good security and convenient functionality

Fingerprint unlock/lock and also an auto lock has been very convenient. Also being able to view motion and speak to person at front door with minimal delay has been good experience so far over the last year.

DO NOT Buy! The Technology Does Not Last

My lock stopped working after less than 2 years of use. I cannot even use it manually because 3 people are in my house and the key cannot be copied due to a security feature. Eufy is no help since they say it's out of warranty. The issue was the door was saying the deadbolt was stuck even though it actually had opened. Eufy customer service advised me to reset the device. Now, I'm stuck at the calibration step and I'm getting the door is locked message even though the lock actually is opening and closing. I cannot move past this step to finish setup. $280 down the drain since I also bought the extra battery.

Paid for new and got used!

Then took it to my local Best Buy to return or exchange for a new one and they refused to help saying their is nothing they could do due to wrapping being removed from box! It’s like You guys took a used returned product and boxed it back up and reshrunk wrap it. Will definitely not be purchasing anything from Best Buy again and probably not eufy.
