    Geek Squad connected my phone to Nest thermostat

    The agent connected my Pixel XL to the Nest thermostat, but did not show me how he did it and I am now upgrading to another phone and do not know how to connect the new phone to the Nest

    The 2 Gentleman that installed my smart thermostat were fast and efficient. Friendly and made sure my smartphone was connected with the app and made sure I knew what I was doing with it. I appreciate the extra mile.

    Not the best installation

    Installer mis-wired it initially and left me with more than an hour of heat (rather than A/C) cranking out. He ultimately returned to my house and fixed it, but he needed a lot of instruction via telephone calls to someone (his supervisor?).

    Ty worked throughout our condo putting in and programming smart lighting and a Ring system in our condo. Ty was excellent!

    The Geek squad is always friendly and knowledgeable. They came back to try to get my thermostats working. They are great my thermostats no so much. I recommend Total tech support and Geek squad.

    We purchased the Total Tech package a few months ago when we bought a new TV. So when we looking for a smart thermostat we went to Best Buy because they said the installation was included in the package. They recommended the Ecobee enhanced so we went with it. On the appointed day we made a special trip of two hours back home to meet the technicians. They were there about five minutes when they asked if our system was all electric. When we told them that it was gas heat electric cooling, they said that they were not allowed to touch it and left. The people at the store never asked us or told us about this. We had to call an HVAC service company and they installed it all right and charged more than the price of the thermostat. I found out later that if our system was all electric they sold us the wrong model because the Enhanced model doesn’t support the Emergency Heat strips.

    Geek squad 3rd party technicians failed

    Geek Squad 3rd party contractor technicians could not get the thermostat to operate. Two separate trips by different technicians and they could not get the thermostats working. I had to hire a heat and air specialist to get the thermostats installed and operating correctly

    So helpful with all the things I needed guidance with and stayed until all the tasks were completed. I am still learning and appreciate the time and care the Techs took with the install.

    The Geek Squad did a great job installing The Nest thermostats. Very proficient and knowledgeable about the product, as well as the technician was extremely pleasant.

    The tech was EXCELLENT, he did a fantastic job. He hit one snag in the installation but would not give up until he solved the problem, and he did so brilliantly.

    Eric was great! He was very professional, got the job done very quickly, tested to make sure both the AC & heat were working (no small feat in June!), and made sure I was comfortable with working the system before he left.

    Great and knowledgeable service. The tech was even concerned with the slight differences in the paint when the larger old thermostat came off the wall.

    The installer was 2 hours late when he arrived. When he finally left we soon realized that he had installed our thermostats incorrectly. When you set the temp to cool it would turn on the furnace when set to finance it would continue to run the furnace. We could not reach him so we had to deal with 88 Degree temps on night one. We called Geek Squad in the morning and they said they would get someone out the same day. This was Wednesday. After waiting most of the day I called again around 3 pm I was told the appointment was booked incorrectly. But they could have someone out in 2 days on Friday. We dealt with one more night of 86-degree temps. On Thursday we hired our own HVAC company to properly install the Thermostats.

    I had my AC/Heating damaged and Best Buy had to pay for the damages. It took a while to get the money but they finally repaid me for my repairs.

    The geek squad installer (Tim) was great. I received text messages that told me when he was on his way. He was thorough and at the same time very pleasant. If I needed another geek squad service I would definitely want him back. 5 stars for geek squad on this date!
