Smart Thermostat Install

I wish I could say I got great service, but there were several issues. My first appointment got canceled with no explanation and for the second appointment I made, the technician never called to confirm. I called Best Buy and ended up speaking with someone from a whole other continent who had no explanation other than to say they tried to reach me in fact they did not. Best Buy local did try to make it right by sending out a technician. However he was out of his area of expertise in installing my AC Thermostat and blew out the fuse on the AC. I had to call my AC company to come out and fix the blown fuse and install the thermostat properly. Again, Best Buy made it right by filing a damage report and they say they will be reimbursing me for having to bring out an AC repair man. All in all it was a very long and frustrating day.

The device is working great. The great customer service and kindness from the installer, his name is Ken, was much better. He was thorough, wanted to make sure we understood how to use device, and was patient with explaining its features. Best install experience ever.

Excellent price to install and delivery for the price under 200$ dollars if you have Honeywell and want up grade this the one with WIFI .

The wirings and setting for the GE thermostat was incorrect, heating system kept blowing cool air. Eventually the heating system broke down and my family endured <50 F temp. I went to BestBuy store in Woodbridge VA, waited for more 1 hour only to be told by the Geek tech to call the 1-800 number, I called this number for days but had to deal with AI assistance which was not helpful. I ended up getting McCarthy services last Friday and paid $199 for the service call.

Turns out it would not of been that difficult for me to do it myself but it’s always nice to have an expert set things up for you. He wasn’t very talkative and could not answer the questions I asked but I think that’s because it was not someone from geek squad but a different company unrelated to Best Buy. That’s why I still give it five stars because there installs are worth it if you have the total tech membership. This guy just wasn’t as good as the guys that did all of my other installs.
