The thermostats still have not been installed. Our original schedule was just before Thanksgiving between 1:00pm and 8:00pm. The installer called around 7:00pm to ask if he can still come to our house between 8:30 and 9:00pm. I told him that would not work. When they called to reschedule we were very concerned over the outbreak of Covid during the holidays so we did not schedule, we wanted to wait until after the holidays. They called several times; however, their schedule did not allow them to book the end of January. The last I heard r this sfrom them was a voice mail on January 7th. Very disappointed since we paid for this service in November and still have nothing in return!

Installation techs did a great job installing and setting everything up for us.

Compatibility wasn't good for this product needed additional wiring

So they couldnt fix the problem with my nest thermostat. Which I wasnt really sure that they could. My dad was at my house for the instalation because I had to work. Their solution was to turn the systems fan on a timer so the fan noise would cover up the exhaust blower short cycling every 5 seconds. It only took me about a minute after i go home to realize they had done nothing yet called it good and fixed. This is a very dishonest service BestBuy geek squad has done.

This was a total disaster - do not use Geek squad in central NJ for this work because they only have one subcontractor. The subcontractor’s workers can only do basic plug and play, have an awful attitude as does their boss. Boss tried ‘troubleshooting’ the problem for a half hour after we finally got his crew to believe the thermostats weren’t working properly. Boss ended up telling crew to call Google customer support - who found the same problem that we had found via Google search (crew and boss wouldn’t listen). Ended up w very hot house and having to go back to old thermostats. Best Buy has ONE awful subcontractor for the whole area…

Don't waste your time asking if you do not have a common wire in your thermostat. Guy came looked, so no wire and split. I'm sure he'd be competent if there was a wire. Similar to my fridge install. He didn't see a shut off behind the fridge so left it unhooked from water line. This is how Total Tech works. They have very specific requirements to do the work and if they are not met, they have an out for the service. Quite frustrated and had to take 3 hours to do it myself.

The tech that installed my thermostat was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He was also very pleasant

The tech called 30mins before he was arriving. He was in and out in less than that time.

The tech arrived on time and did an excellent job of installing the NEST thermostat. Explained how it worked and I"m happy.

Geeksquad did a great job of making sure Google nest was installed on wall and the app worked.

I wish the installer would’ve left the box. I like to manually read. But, you can find pamphlet online.
