it´s great seeing it flying! it´s a good option for beginners but I´d like the capacity battery to be bigger.

Nice drone (and included accessories) for the price. It was very easy for my 6 and 11 year old, first time flyers to control. Battery life is approx 15 min but it comes with two batteries so we had the second one ready as soon as the first one went out. Unfortunately, the drone would not connect to the app (iOS) so we were not able to use the camera/photo/video features. After further checking of other reviews, this is a very common issue. You cannot reach anyone at the customer service numbers provided for Snaptain so we ended up returning it to the store.

Not the greatest with flying. I found that I have to consistently fight the yaw to keep it flying straight and will often steer itself away. Camera is decent though. 2/10 would not recommend.

The SNAPTAIN S5C Elite Drone is a good drone for beginners or those that don’t have the need for a high tech drone. I’ve always wanted a drone but didn’t want to spend a lot of money because I didn’t wanted to crash or break it because of my inexperienced flying capability. This one is perfect, because it’s geared towards beginners and I also won’t be as upset if I happen to crash it. I will use this drone to practice my skills before moving up to a more expensive drone. The drone comes well packaged and it included soft shell carrying case. It comes with two rechargeable batteries. Each battery has its own USB-C port for charging. Having the charging port on each battery allows you to fly the drone while the other battery is being charged. When you run out of juice you can simply swap the batteries. The drone has a front camera that can be used to take photos or record videos. The drone can connect to your phone using the app, which then allows you to connect to the drone’s built in WiFi network. The photos and videos can be saved to your phone’s album via its WiFi signal. For better high-definition quality it’s best to save the photos and videos on a memory card. The drone supports a micro SD memory card up to 64 GB using the FAT32 format. The drone and phone holder both come folded into a compact design. You have to fold the front legs of the drone out first and then the rear legs. The joystick phone holder has two handles that can be folded out for better grip. When placing your phone in the joystick phone holder I would highly suggest that both the joystick and drone is turned off. I made the mistake of trying to put my phone in the holder while both were on. While trying to get my phone in the holder I accidentally hit a combination of buttons that put the drone in flying mode. Since I was indoors at the time and didn’t want the drone flying all over the place, I quickly trapped the drone which hurt because of the spinning blades. That’s probably one of the reasons why the manufacturer suggests those that use this drone be 14 years or older. The remote has quite a few options for flying the drone. There’s a one key take-off and landing button, emergency stop button, circle fly button, 3D flip button, 2 speeds control button, power button, take photo button, record video button, camera down button, camera up button, as well as up, down, turn left, turn right, left, right, forwards, and back buttons. There are quite a few buttons to learn when flying the drone. They included a cardboard cutout that has a description of the buttons. Unfortunately, the remote itself does not have the descriptions printed on it. Even the illustrations on the remote are difficult to read. They painted a light gray icon on blue buttons, which makes it very difficult to read. They probably should have used white paint on blue buttons instead. Once you get the hang of it the drone does a great job flying, taking photos, and recording videos.

This entry level drone comes with the drone, remote, 2 batteries, a USB charging cable, a quick start guide, user manual, 8 extra blades, screws and even a little screwdriver for replacing the blades. You will need 3 AAA batteries for the remote. This all comes in a nice carrying case with cushion cutouts to keep everything safe. The only thing you need to supply is your cell phone. I have never used a drone before, so this was a unique experience for me. I first charged the batteries and downloaded the Snaptain FPV app onto my phone. If you would like a better quality video, insert a micro SD card (no bigger than 64GB). I then installed the battery into the drone and the AAA batteries in the remote. I placed my phone into the phone holder on the remote and unfolded the arms to the drone. You will need to find a nice flat area to place the drone on the ground and make sure there is nothing close you might hit. I followed the instructions, on the quick guide, to turn on the drone and remote then pressed the One Key Take-off button. The drone then rose up and was ready for me to navigate it where ever I wanted. I was glad for the remote guide that slips right over the remote, so that I have simple instructions on how to maneuver the drone. The left joystick will raise and lower the drone by pushing it up or down and turns it left or right by pushing left or right on the joystick. The right joystick will move the drone forward or backward by pushing up or down on it and move it left or right by pushing the joystick left or right. It is simple enough for even me to maneuver the drone without a problem. There are buttons on the front of the drone so that you can take a photo, record video and move the camera up and down for a better video. For the price range of this drone, you are getting in on a basic entry level. I think this is great for learning on how a drone operates. The camera will take video at 1080p, which is average for a drone camera and the quality is pretty good. I highly recommend this drone for those just starting out and learning most of what you will need to know about drone flight. It is easy to use and so much fun! I had anticipated a fun time with the drone, but didn’t realize exactly how much fun they actually are. This drone seems to take a bit of a beating which is great since as a new operator you would need something like this for training. At this price, you can’t go wrong.
