I have owned Blink, Wyze and a number of other cameras. The video and app are flawless and very easy to use. So as far as the hardware and video, it’s great. I wish that Ring would not charge you to simply save your own videos! I understand charging For 24 hour monitoring but I think it’s silly that they charge for saving your own video. Blink and Wyze allow you to save your videos for free.

If you have a spotlight cam and you have it in a busy area the battery will not last. The solar panel is your answer. Charge the battery before you hook up the solar panel and you are good to go. Just follow the instructions on the location where you place the solar panel. With the solar panel you do not need a second battery. Just make sure it sees the sun.

Works very well most of the year, keeping the batteries (I have two) fully charged in my ring Spotlight Camera, even with setting not being battery friendly. It is really nice to hot have to change the batteries all the time. I live in Iowa, so it can't quite keep up in the winter with the reduced daylight hours.

I bought one solar panel for my new Ring security camera and right away bought one for my Ring doorbell. The solar panels are keeping both batteries between 90 and 100 percent. I have them facing the East and so far they are working beautifully. I am very happy with them.

Best. Purchase. Ever. I've had ring cameras and the doorbell going on 2 years now. And about six months I go i finally got the second battery for the camera. And I changed them every two weeks or so. I bought the solar charger and my camera is charged 100% of the time. Its been a month and haven't had to do anything. I am so happy with the purchase as of now.

The solar panel works fantastic, I don't have to remember to charge the battery, the solar panel keeps the battery fully charged. It was easy to install just plug it into the back of the Ring Camera, make sure the plug is fully seated when its pluged in.

Definitely worth the money. I haven't had to change out the battery once since I got this. My battery has stayed 100% charge the day i put it up. Plus it has been a life saver, now I don't have to climb up to change it out every couple of weeks. This is a must have it you have any ring device that is hard to reach.

I was changing batteries too often on my spotlight cam and wanted to add a solar panel. Decided to try the less expensive one first. It was installed mid-winter when there are fewer sunny days and at first I wasn’t sure it would work. It seemed to take a week or so for the camera to see it as connected, but once it recognized the connection, this has worked great. I check it every few days and the battery has stayed at 98% or higher. It’s mounted on the gutter with a mount bought elsewhere. Would have given 5 stars if not for the initial connection issue.

Good thing my camera has the option for 2 batteries as this is not effective during storms. Just giving ring a hard time..... This thing is great keeps both batteries fully charged to last through atleast 3 days of crappy weather. Ring makes a great product and keeps my wife entertained for hours watching the camera everytime there is a notification. Its hilarious Thanks ring for a good product

This was easy to install and is great quality video!

So far so good it is staying about the same percentage throughout the day but it has to be put in a location where the sun hits it the most. Not bad for $50 and saves me time from changing the batteries. I will try the aftermarket ones they are 2 for $70.

After one year I will be happy to submit a more accurate review. As for now, the panel's work fine and to reduce environmental impact it is my belief that that color is a great feature.
