It extends the life of the battery. The best investment I have ever made. The price wasn't bad either.

Excellent item, I don't have to climb a ladder now to remove and charge the batteries in my cameras now.

It works for my ring outdoor stick up cam, its winter time right now meaning less sunlight but it does charge up my my cam.

This is a great addition to the wireless systems as you never have to recharge the battery. It allows mounting options in places where recharging a battery would be a pain. The cable is long enough to mount the solar panel some distance from the camera mounting location, but I ended up having to coil the extra wires around the mounting bracket. I wish the cable was more customizable, but that is being super picky and shows I'm a bit OCD.

This has a very limited use, only for two models of Ring cameras. I suppose this could be used for something else with some hacking... It keeps the camera charged very well. It's light weight and easy to install. It's a bit noticeable, but not terribly unsightly. It sure beats replacing batteries on mounted cameras. There are generic or third party solar panels for a bit cheaper, but the price difference is small enough I'd rather play it safe with the manufacture's brand.

I got this because I thought it would be a better idea than to have my Ring Spotlight and stick up cam be plugged in all the time. They came with all the installment parts needed plus a + screwdriver. The installment was super easy and the cord is pretty long that the location of where it is now, is not an issue nor will it be if i ever decide to move it. Ive never had an issue with this and is very sturdy. great item.

Absolutely love this solar panel to use with my Ring Spotlight camera. I was initially skeptical that it would keep the camera consistently charged, but I haven’t had a single issue with battery life ever since using this with the camera. It’s also surprisingly durable to weather. Mine is exposed outside along my roof lining, and it has continued to work flawlessly despite rain, strong winds, and cold weather. Definitely would recommend to friends and family.

Before purchasing this, I logged how many days my Ring Spotlight would last after I initially installed it. Counted 37 days before it was completely drained. Thought to myself, I would have to go up and change this about 10 times a year. Divide that by roughly $50 (the cost of this solar panel) and that's about $5 each charge. Takes about five minutes for me to remove and reinstall the battery and another 5-6 hours to charge. Is $5 worth my time and effort (not to mention electricity)? Heck yeah it is!

These panels are great, took about 15 minutes for me to install, most of that time was figuring out how to route the cable to get it under my rain gutters. Simply attach the mount to two screw on your roof and two screws on the ring camera, keeps my battery charged. I have been using it for several weeks even with rain and grey skies the battery has not depleted once.
