Still have to charge battery with electricity but not nearly as often without the panel. I have two batteries in my spotlight and will charge by electricity every couple of months as opposed to every two weeks.

After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Solar Panel is not fully charging your Ring Spotlight Camera Battery. Ring recommends at least three to four hours of direct sunlight, depending on your usage. Make sure there are no obstructions that could be casting a shadow on your solar power device, such as an extended roof, tree branches, or bushes. If your installation area is frequently very cloudy or gets a lot of rain or snow, this could limit the amount of sunlight that your solar power device receives.
The solar panel requires direct sunlight. Filtered/indirect sunlight through the clouds will not provide a charge to your doorbell/camera. I finally got tired of having to climb a ladder and recharge the batteries. I purchased the solar panels to keep the batteries charged. Best decision ever. The cameras have been constantly charged.

I write that it's questionable because, even though I now have the solar panel, you still have to rely on the battery. I did not know about this issue and I'm pretty disappointed. I want to give it a five star but what good is it if you still have to recharge the battery?

I had to change battery 3x's since I bought it 3 months ago. It's a HEADACHE getn on ladder to replace battery. If u dnt change battery it will stop monitoring area and that sucks. If u can let me knw some kinda way I dnt have to change battery every month I wud highly recommend this product. I guess it's still gud to have.
