Might not be the Adventure you're looking for.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this digitally, and it is a good game, but saying it is nothing like BoTW is simply a lie, it is the same basic style of gameplay as BoTW and even some of the sound effects are eerily similar to that of BoTW. Of Course Sonic starts off with abilities that mimic many of the things that Link requires an item to enable, and Sonic has much more stamina in his burst, plus he's a lot faster, so you won't need a dirt bike or a horse. Other similarities are that you basically beat the tombs (Cyberspace in Sonic), but they're not really puzzles like BoTW, they're just 3D Sonic Levels where you get a key at the end of the level and two keys will open up one of the gems Sonic is looking for. Overall it is kind of a mish-mash of SM Odyssey, BoTW, and Sonic Adventure, but I wouldn't say it does any of these things, as well as those other games. If you're a Sonic fan you will probably want to give this a try, if you're not, then you will find your money is better spent elsewhere. Personally, I wish they would remaster Sonic Adventure 1 and 2.
