Great game with Great DLC at a good price. The physical packaging is amazing!

MAN this was a great game, kids loved it, and my trip down memory lane was nostalgic to say the least! It's hours of fun, still playing, been playing for about 10 hours worth, and my kid is beating me! LOL

For $30, getting the entirety of Sonic Mania, the new Encore Mode, and the artbook is a great value. However, I would recommend against the purchase if you already have the original Sonic Mania on your system. The Encore Mode is priced at $5 separately, so you're essentially paying $25 for the physical version and the artbook (and although it's a neat addition, it's just a small paper book, not something that will look great on a shelf). I honestly wouldn't recommend Encore Mode for even the $5 asking price individually. It is extremely similar to the main game, so much so that you'll just feel like you played the same game a second time rather than a new experience. It changes things up a bit, so you might as well try it if just want to play the game again anyway, but it really feels like it should be part of the base game rather than paid DLC. So in short; an excellent purchase if you do not have Sonic Mania, but not so much if you do (and if you really, really want Encore Mode, it would be a better idea to simply pay the $5 digitally rather than paying for the entire game all over again, and then some). I took off a star because of how disappointing the new Encore Mode was (which is the only real "new" feature of Plus aside from the four-player competitive mode), but the game altogether definitely gets a solid five from me.

I love this game. I already own the digital, vanilla version for Switch. The “plus” version comes with a cool artbook and extra play modes and new characters. So much fun if you are a classic Sonic fan.

This game is a must play for fans of the classic Sonic series. This has been my favorite sonic title since the sega. It offers a ton of replay value and is appropriate for all age levels. Must play!

Playing Sonic Mania Plus on the Nintendo Switch reminds me of the Sega Game Gear. I own Sonic Mania Plus for the PS4 and while the graphics are identical, I believe that it is better on the Switch.

I grew up in the Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and Super Nintendo era when games were for real men. One hit, and you're dead. Start over. It wasn't about online multiplayer FPS games, getting mocked by teenagers who mistakenly believe that their video gaming skill will somehow translate into a future full of wealth and fame without any actual work or self-development. They think the world owes them something as they waste away in their mommies' basements, barely participating in the real world as they live off of Red Bull and weed, texting their friends sitting on the couch next to them because communicating directly is too scary. Bah humbug!

Sonic Mania Plus is sort of a retooling of the classic Sonic The Hedgehog games of the Sega Genesis era and works quite well. For people that are fans of those old games, this is a good version of it.

A combination of old and new, this nostalgic trip into to Sonic's past also explores his possibilities in the future. A throwback to early 90's sonic games, will leave fans new and old satisfied.

This is the culmination of all previous 2D Sonic games. It's truly a masterpiece and not just a nostalgia trip. The replay-ability is incredible and I am already looking forward to Sonic Mania 2.

Love my switch love my original sonic games and this is close to a remake but with but a bit of twist such add ons new levels unlockables great game specially if you are a retrogamer.

Honestly never got into Sonic but have been told this one is where it's at. I've started and still getting the hang of Sonic but it's a great looking game and old school platformers are great!

This feels like the sequel to 2D Sonic that we never got on Sega Saturn or Sega Dreamcast. It’s an amazing blend of a reimagining and a sort of remake while still being its own new thing.

Really amazing interpretation of classic Sonic gameplay by some talented developers. Plus version has even more content for an already strong amount of replay value. Super recommended.

If you liked Sonic the Hedgehog 2 or Sonic 3 & Knickles back in the day, then you will like this game as well. It delivers on everything that was right with the Sonic series back in the day.

I haven't played sonic in a while but when I saw they had it available for the switch I had to get it. It's like a retro game with a twist!! I definitely recommend this game

An expansion to a fantastic return to form. Sonic Mania is a massive triumph after years of subpar experiments from the Sonic team. Do yourself a favor and pick this gem up at some point.

If you are a sonic fan buy this game it is an actual real feeling old school sonic game made by fans and lisenced by Sega yeah they were impressed. So am I along with a large fan base.
