My wife bought this game for herself hoping it would work on my Xbox One, but it is not one of the games yet. If you own a Xbox 360 and want to go back to your child hood this might be a good game for you.

I realize these are old games however besides sonic these were all games most people never heard of. Waste of money!

I was unable to play this game on Xbox one. Not sure why.

Great collection of games on this collection. Sega really outdid themselves. Buying these games on cartridge will cost a fortune. I know there have been a lot of collections over the years, but this one is the best. The screen is shrunk to about 75 percent of the screen but the pic is 4by4 and sharp.

This is easily one of the best retro collections ever. I owned a Sega Genesis many years back and this collections has most of my favorites. It's great having Sonic the Hedgehog, Columns, Streets of Rage, Shinobi and Vectorman all in one collection. The controls work very well, which I am thankful for. I have played some retro collections where current controllers were not taken into account, but Sega has worked these games so the XBOX 360 controller works perfectly with all games. The graphics may be dated, but the fun is not. Many of these games still hold up alongside the current generation of games and are still a lot of fun to play. It's also interesting to see how the graphics of the Genesis games evolved over time as technology improved. Play an earlier game like Alex Kidd or E-SWAT and then play Vectorman 1 or 2 to see what I mean. There are a few minor bugs in terms of sound and graphics in a very small number of areas, but nothing that will have any real effect on your enjoyment of the games. These were probably in the original games. Also, the original Genesis cartridge for Sonic & Knuckles had a feature that let you play as Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic 2 and 3, but that is not in this collection for some reason (maybe it will be a future download). Despite these two minor issues, I would recommend this to anyone who ever had a Sega Genesis or who has an interest in retro gaming.

This must be the biggest classic game collection that has come out for any console ever with 40 games from the Genesis console along with 9 unlockable games from the Sega Master System and arcade. This collection is a must have for any Sega fan and a good deal for gamers who are looking to get alot of bang for their buck. Titles include Altered Beast, Shinobi, Space Harrier Sonic 1 and 2, Sonic and Knuckles, Golden Axe i, ii, III, Golden Axe Warrior, Phantasy Star II, III, IV the unlockable first installment Phantasy Star I and the list goes on and on. If your a fan of classic games than there is no reason why you shouldn't buy this game.

With over 40 Genesis titles theirs a lot to see and to do.For instance it has all 3 Streets Of Rage games,Golden Axe games,Sonic the Hedgehog games,and Sonic Spinball,Sonic and Knuckles and just about every Sonic game they could make before Genesis went under.They must have been to focus on Sonic to notice they really don't have many of the classic titles on this game,but there's probably a Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection 2 on the way soon.So get some of your cartridge stealing,I mean borrowing friends,and tell them you got over 40 Genesis games on one disc for 30 dollars.Hopefully it will still be there when they leave.

I don't know what the person above was talking about. I haven't had the slow framerate problem. I think the game is great. Everything runs smothly and the improved graphics make the old games look nicely polished up. You can't ask for a better deal, if you like the classic Genesis. I do wish they would have taken away some of the sequals, in exchange for some different games. There are 5 Sonic games! Give us 3 at tops and add 2 more old classics.

This is a great collection of games, but I haven't played them in so long. Its hard to pick them up again but fun to relearn everything you once knew.

kids absolutely love this game. there are so many games to choose from. kids take turns and have fun seeing old sonic games and characters!

if you enjoyed these games as a kid then get this collection. it'a awesome to have all of them together. the other reviewer said they did a bad job on graphic rendering???? not at all, it's a genesis games on a disc, buy it.

This is a must have game for anyone who had a Sega Genesis in the 90s, or who now has children and hates all these super violent new video games.

This game is a huge disapointment. The game has terrible slowdown and frame rates. The game drops frame rates when simply jumping. Sega did a terrible job re rendering this game. The game is simply to slow to play I was a huge fan of Sonic 3 on Sega Genesis and this game was an awful waste of money. Please do not purchase this game, Save your money.
