Best amp ever!!! The integration with the Sonos app is spectacular!!

If using for TV or movies, get an AV receiver instead at this price point, the dialogue will be clearer and better heard at lower volumes. I will preface by saying I'm well versed at audio equipment and an enthusiast in this segment. I bought this amp to attempt to replace a dying old Cambridge Audio receiver and my intention was to use it for music listening through Spotify and for TV/movie use. While music sounded good (Bowers and Wilkins 707 S2 speakers), watching TV was difficult at lower volumes, the dialogue was lost. Given that this amp has an HDMI input, it's use is marketed for tv/music/movies but it falls quite short in the audio fidelity quality to be $600 when compared to an AV receiver that also has music streaming capabilities, among many other things (which can be had for less than $600). As soon as I hooked up my old receiver I was able to hear much more dialogue again without having to increase the volume, the clarity was back. I attribute this to the Class D amplifier the Sonos amp uses, while many AV receivers use the superior (though less efficient) Class AB, which excels in audio definition and fidelity over Class D. This was starkly apparent to me. Even with budget speakers you WILL experience the same.

its ok not exactly what I request when the rep from Geek Squad visited me with a home installation. I wanted an amp that plays disc and had a usb plug. What I got, it NOT what I requested from the sales rep. I called him 3 times, he said he would get back to me and to this he has NOT. Poor representation for Best Buy

I love Sonos and have a bunch of their products but I thought I was buying something else and found out this is just to connect wired speakers from other brands and connected to the Sonos family. I was under the impression that I would connect Wi-Fi speakers into the network. My bad. I returned it.

Great for running outdoor speakers. However unit needs to be out off the weather. Like all Sonos products its overpriced

I took advantage of the Sonos upgrade program to save 30 per cent. BestBuy was part of the upgrade program and it was easy to trade in my old amp for the new one.

Enhanced verbal assistant capabilities and the ability to send signals to more than one set of speakers (if wired correctly) make this a worthwhile upgrade.

I bought this to power an out door sound system for my patio. The amp has two wall speakers hardwired to it. There is a nice app to control the device from your phone. It plays Pandora, which is my primary music source. I also added a Sonus Sub to it which they describe as a WiFi device. However, it doesn't use your home mesh WiFi connection. It uses it's own 5G connection between the amp and Sub which couldn't connect the 30-feet distance through a concrete block wall. I thought it would use my home WiFi which has good coverage troughout.
