I bought this soundbar and paired it with the Sonos subwoofer and i couldn't be more impressed!! The trueplay feature tunes the soundbar to your specific room and it has no issues making me feel like im at the movie theater!

    Awesome sounding speaker

I had a Definitive Technologies sound bar and sub from Magnolia for 6-8 years. It sounded great, but I could never connect it to get firmware updates, etc. Possibly due to that it had no phone connectivity and had to resort to a very cheaply made basic remote control. I was due for an upgrade. After a couple of weeks, I’m very happy with the sound of the Sonos arc ultra. It advertises the Era 300 surround speakers, but couldn’t justify the almost $800 for two of them. I bought the Era 100s and due to the size of my room, they are perfect as supplemental surround speakers and sound great. I have other Sonos speakers, including their amplifier to run wired non Sonos patio speakers, but with this new set up, it takes a bit to get used to connecting certain speakers to music versus switching the sound bar to music versus the TV, etc. Given.

All in One Solution For Most

Clear Highs/Mids with solid base response. Most people would likely find this to be an all in one sound solution with no accessories needed. If you want the rumble then as the Sub 4.

    Sonos for the win

The sound profile feels bigger than the size of this soundbar. The finite details are incredible. Sonos app is fixed, don't believe the old reviews. Added sub 4 and era 100s which are a must for the surround sound. Soundbar alone would be good enough for an apartment but addition of the sub is needed for larger spaces. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the market year end of 2025.

Outstanding tech - larger rooms need more bass $$$

The soundbar is outstanding and justifies the high price tag. The bass while very good for a standalone soundbar, if you have a large room you will probably want to invest in the Sonos sub-woofer.

I think this is great going from the traditional set up for television audio sound. Without the rear speakers this thing is incredible while watching our movies. yes, I know there is cheaper out there, but I’m OK with the price on this one.

Have to admit i was hesitant to purchase this upgraded Arc. Alrwady have the original with 2 gen 3 subs and 2 Era 300’s. Fiugured like most thing this was a money grab and there wouldnt be much difference. Well i was completely wrong and blown away with this Arc Ultra. The way the sound hugs the room and every corner. So much more detail in the effects around you. Take the original Arc x 10. Thinking about upgrading gen 3’s to gen 4 subs now. App is slowly getting better also. Still not the greatest but better.

It’s wonderful to hear that the Ultra exceeded your expectations and added such depth and detail to your listening experience. The way you described the sound "hugging" the room perfectly captures the immersive quality we've aimed for.

It’s also great to know you're noticing improvements in the app, though we recognize there's room to continue enhancing its usability. We're glad you're considering further upgrades and appreciate your support. If you have any questions or need help with future setups, we’re here to assist! For those on the fence to upgrade from their Sonos Arc, I can tell you it is a noticeable improvement. Music, movies , just run the gamut, it all sounds better. Dialogue, especially. We’ve found we use about half the amount of volume needed to get the “same effect” as the OG Arc. With that being said, I upgraded because I had a gift card ( only paid $4 out of my pocket ). Without the gift card I likely wouldn’t have even tested the Ultra out in my home against the OG Arc. But, I’m glad I did, the difference is tangible. I know this is annoying as I’ve seen many reviewers say this: if you have the money or can sell the OG arc for $400, maybe, I’d say go for it. If not, the last gen Arc is still incredible. I kept mine, it’s just be demoted to my bedroom.

At first I was disapointed it would not work with my Denon receiver. Once I connected the Arc Ultra as recommended, I realized how much the sound improved and cable clutter is gone. The app has also made significant improvements since I bought my old Sonos 1 speaker. I am planning to complement the Arc Ultra with additional Sonos speakers and base. But the Arc alone fills the house with amazing sound. The only thing I was missing is the optical connection. But Sonos had an adaptor that works well and is only $25. So thank you Sonos!

We watched an action movie a couple of nights ago, and one scene in particular absolutely blew us away—a thrilling gunfight in the middle of the street. The sound design was so immersive, it genuinely felt like we were right there in the action. It was an unforgettable experience! Our current setup includes a six-year-old Samsung 65-inch TV, which doesn’t support Dolby Atmos sound. After experiencing how much difference great audio can make, I’ve decided it’s finally time for an upgrade. A new TV will definitely be on the list once we repaint the family room!
