This is required if you're not connecting your Sonos gear directly to your router. This was essential for me as my router and hub are in a different part of the house. It's inexpensive and very easy to deploy, so it's well worth the cost.

I bought a Sonos Playbar and I had to buy the bridge separately. Which kind of irked me because if you buy a Sonos Play 1, 3, or 5 when you get a gree bridge. But with the Playbar being $699 you don't even get one for free? Serious? But either way I hooked it up super easy and quick and connected my Sonos components with ease. Downside is that it's only for Sonos and it's just another device to plug into your router and power.

Because my wifi router is in a closet I did not want to place a speaker in the closet and not enjoy the music. This simple inespensive devise createda seperte WiFi just for the Sonos system. Easy Peasy set up.

The Sonos system is so easy to use. Setup process was self-explanatory and only to a couple minutes. Able to listen to music throughout the house from multiple sources. Love it.

The bridge was needed because I bought just one Sonos speaker and that is how you get the wireless to the speaker. I plugged it into the eternet port and it worked immediately. Love this sound system. Ready to buy another speaker.

Purchased as part of a new TV room sound system - with the playbar, sub, and two satellite speakers. The system works great. This little device is essential as it is the hub which connects all the components wirelessly together.

This is the piece that connects to your WiFi router and puts out the Sonos WiFi signal. Extremely easy to install and once you have the Sonos app on your iPad/iPhone or computer, you just add the newly bought speakers as required.

The bridge does exactly what it needs to - link your SONOS audio components to your home network so that you can control your different zones using the SONOS app. It's small and discrete and I have not had any problems with it.

Sonos was recommended by a sales associate and it was a great choice. I have enjoyed the system tremendously. I have 2 different wireless speakers and they are awesome. The nice things is that you can move them with ease.

The Bridge is necessary when you don't have any of your Sonos equipment near your Router. At least one piece of equipment has to be hardwired via ethernet to the router, and if you don't have any of the other equipment near your router, you need to get the Bridge. The good news is that it's not too expensive compared to the other Sonos equipment, and it is just as easy to setup as all the other Sonos equipment.

I was a little disappointed that I would have to buy a bridge to use the sonos speakers but it makes the system easier to use. Also, the speakers can accesss internet (sirius radio) without needing my mac to be on.

A perfect unit to complete my Sonos units. I have the sound bar, sub and amp so this is a very important component for my set up. everything is mesh perfect. I am enjoying the sound in my living room more than ever.

Wow. Sonos. Love it. Amazing hifi wireless sound. Perfect complement for media room and whole house audio. Although I have wifi in my home, the bridge gives me he dedicaed network my Sonos play 1s need. Sweet.

This unit was easy to install and has great sound. I had heard that sometimes you could get interference with wireless speakers from other devices. I have had this system for 5 weeks with absolutely no issues

I received this brdge as a bonus when I pruchased a second Play 3 speaker. Already had one connected to my network, but added as an extender to increase the range on my wireless system. Works great and easy to setup.

Easiest part of the setup of the Sonos System. Instructions are very clear and really don't need to know anything technical to get this thing going. My only question and reason for not giving it 5 stars is: Is it really necessary? Since I already have a wireless network at my house why am I having to setup another one for music? I do enjoy the concept of Sonos and simplicity of the whole operation.
