If you want your Sonos 5 to be mobile in order to get the maximum use out of it, this is a must have. Works like a charm.

Allows you to move your Sonos Speaker throughout the house, outside where there is an outlet or extension cord and hook up multiple Sonos speakers throughout.

Had to contact their help line. Tech was very knowledgable and resolved the problem quickly. The number of DHCP addresses on our router had to be increased. Wokrs fine !! People at the Blakekney Best Buy had it ready for pickup and were also very helpful.

Buy with caution if you plan on using Sonos with a subscription service. You own the device but they own and frequently "update" the software it uses. Sonos will remove existing advertised services/abilities from the devices without warning or recourse. If you own all your tunes and do not use any streaming services you are probably safe. If maintaining an existing feature requires effort or expense on their part, don't be surprised if it is eliminated. Remember, they already have your money and they have complete control over the software the Sonos devices use.

this needs a data port to make it work it is not wireless with that you cannot use it with a MIFi from Verizon

I read the reviews first. I thought this would be easy to set up. It was very difficult to set up. The instruction manuels are useless. After more than two hours of effort we still have no music from any of the three speakers. This product was a very big disappointment. I kept the boxes so that I can return all of it to Best Buy tomorrow morning!

remember sarah palin's bridge to nowhere? this is the digital version of it. hook it up and have it work once, then get to do it again every time you want to hear music. love the concept of wireless music using an old iphone. too bad it's all hype in the store and total frustration back at the house.

This piece of equipment is no longer required to have sonos. Don't waste your money on this.
