I wanted to connect my Bluetooth portable speakers into my Sonos system to use around the pool and lanai. Connecting th Sonos Connect to the Avantree Oasis Plus aptX HD Long Range Bluetooth Transmitter works very well. The Bluetooth transmitter will transmit to 1 or 2 speakers simultaneously. I have two. Just plug the Bluetooth transmitter into the Sonos Connect, pair the portable speakers, and now I have 2 Sonos Connected Bluetooth speakers. Only minor drawback is that the speakers are not low latency so there is a slight delay compared to other Sonos speakers nearby. But this is not a problem as long as I am not blasting one of them.

We had the large Sonos speaker and bought the Connect to add to our Surround Sound in the Family Room. We love it! Had it playing during the holidays and the sound was fantastic. Easy to set up too!

Sonos systems are pricey -- you pay a lot for each zone, whether it's for a set of powered speakers, and amplifier, or a component to add to an existing receiver. But once you've paid, you never have to worry about it. These components work flawlessly, and the control from my phone (I-phone) is easy and fun to use. I have two Sonos Connects plugged into my home theater -- one for Zone 1 (the living room) and one for Zone 2 (the pool), and the combination works perfectly. If I have both playing the same thing, there's no lag time or difference between the zones, and if they're separate, they work fine, too. Love it!

Wireless sustenance of the best sound on the market

I bought this piece thinking at best this would be a mediocre add-on to my $10,000 stereo system. No this was just what I needed. It complements my CD player perfectly. Just make sure you get a good digital cable to go in the S/pdif connection. Don't use the cheap ones that come with the unit. It will make a huge difference.

This is great to use with an existing receiver setup.

The SONOS system made it incredibly easy to play any of my music in my rooms, and also listen to my favorite radio stations. I never realized how music can soothe me, and it is now on constantly. I turn it on through my phone when I get up, listen while I am working, and when I'm getting ready for bed. I can easily switch from my 'classical' background music to energetic & fun music when that mood strikes me. I don't use any music subscription (like Pandora), but can easily add that if I want. The Geek guy (Alan) who put it in was excellent & gave me great instructions. I'm thinking about expanding my system based on some really cool ideas he had. Thank you, Best Buy!

We purchased this as part of our new entertainment center and use it to listen to music outside in the California room as we watch TV inside. We use our phones to control the music. It's pretty cool.

The system works very well together. Relatively easy to set up and sounds great! The Best Buy employees were awesome about helping me get what was necessary and nothing additional.

Very easy to set up! The sound, although wireless, is great through the wired audio system. Now we have our Sonos in the entertainment room as well as the patio area.

I bought the Sonos to add to my whole home audio system so I could get Internet Radio and more control of streaming MP3 music files form my NAS. I works as well as I could have hoped for. Plus, I was able to connect it to my Pandora & Sirius XM accounts. Two sources my current system did not have. I use it every day!!

I was told that this item would not work to transmit sound from my stereo receiver to my sonos system. I bought it anyway to try it for myself because message boards said it worked that way. Well, it did work. I can now listen to my records, cds, and cassettes through my sonos system.

Very easy to setup, just connect to the wifi and download the app on your phone. If you have a large house and the wifi is spotty you may want to purchase the sonos boost as well.

I had a Sonos Play 3 and was very happy with the sound. I wanted to have my family room also on a Sonos network as opposed to buying another Sonos device. I read a review of the Sonos connect that made me hesitant. It said the sound was tinny and you needed a DAC (digital to audio converter) to get a full sound. This turned out not to be the case for me. I simply plugged the Sonos into my receiver via an optical cable it sounds great. All I can think of is that other reviewer was going from the Sonos to his receiver via the analog connections vs a digital connection and that caused his poor sound. If you go digital to digital you should be fine.

This was my first investment into Sonos as I wasn't sure about purchasing their speakers. Being able to buy this product to work with my home stereo was a great start. Once I saw how well and simple it was to operate, I have since purchased a Sonos 3 and Sonos 5. They supply great stereo sound on my deck and with the home stereo playing inside, it works great for having music all around, especially when entertaining friends. I have been looking for a solution like this for a long time and now I could not be happier with it. It is a premium price, but being able to sync music across the house is a major benefit and being able to control it all from my phone or tablet is awesome. I am very happy with this purchase.

As with all Sonos products, this one is easy to set up, works seamlessly with the rest of the components, and is a must-have if you are looking for an easy whole-house system that plays everything.
