Excellent SONOS extension, wish line-in was easier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was a more economical option to incorporate my existing amplifier and speakers than buying the Connect Amp and additional speakers. There is only one line-in connection, and it only accepts an analog signal. I wanted to have sound from the tv play over SONOS to the patio. Eventually, I had to run an analog cable from a second output on the tv directly to the Connect, and it works. If I want to hear amplifier output (perhaps the cd player, or tuner) to now feed through the Connect, I will have to run additional cables from those devices directly to the Connect, and unplug/plug in. This is a bit cumbersome.

Great product - kept my old amplifier in the house

It seemed like such a waste - until I found this component. It was easy plug and play into the Sonos ecosystem and now I can still use my 20-year old speakers. The optical connection works great with the amplifier's own DACs.
