Great device though more inputs would be nice

However, at its price, it would be great to be able to run two pairs of speakers into this device vs. >$300 to add one pair of speakers to your Sonos network.

wanted to play a turntable

It was relatively easy to hook-up and I can now rune my old stereo and inputs (turntable) through the preamp and directly into the Sonos Connect and to my Play 1 speakers.

Does the job, but doesn't do all that I expected.

It connected them, but we aren't able to control the volume as well as we thought we would be able to. It may be the way the speakers were originally set up.
