    All they had was open box units. Not one person could tell me anything about it so all the research was on me.

    Does connect older equipment to Sonos speakers but disconnects each time a CD changes or unit is turned off. Not what I expected

    Old technology, top price

    The technology in this device is no longer supported by Sonos. Cannot stream music from my iPhone. Will not work with Sonos 2 controller. Very disappointing for the price.

    Bought this piece, along with 2 Sonos speakers, about a month and a half ago. Have had problems playing CDs, as the speakers constantly cut in and out while playing them, which is highly annoying.

    I purchased this so that I could play music from my phone on to Sonos Wifi speakers. However, the connectivity was slow and I felt the music quality also was inferior.

    We where influenced into the Sonos system by the best buy advisor, but after installing and trying it, it was not what we needed. We are of an older generation and didn't need a system where we had to use phone apps to control or setup our audio system. We did buy wired speakers and reverted to the old fashioned way of turning on a system with buttons and switches. I'm sure the Sonos system is good, it just wasn't for us.

    I bought to use w/ my Record Player. The single is delayed and quite often disappears...Not very effective. if just for pandora etc, it works ok...

    If you use this along with other speakers in the same room you will notice a delay in sound from it. I used it with my tv sound bar. Ended up returning.

    Cannnot use your favorite streaming service

    You have to view and use a supported streaming service from within the Sonos app, which is very limiting. You cannot simply choose whichever streaming service itself, you must use the Sonos version. For example, this sucks for a service like Soundcloud and some others are not even supported. I'm a few days past the return-able date and so I'm very unhappy. I will try to stay with Amazon in future.

    Wouldn't connect to my wifi network

    I tried for two days to get the Sonos app to recognize my wifi network. After doing some searching on the net, I discovered that Sonos does not recognize a router that operates on 5GHz. Bummed me out. I thought this was going to be the perfect streaming solution for me. I returned it.

    Music streaming with Apple simplicity

    I had the Logitech Squeeeboz duet for over 2 years and I thought that it was pretty nice. That being said, the constant firmware updates left the unit out of order for more than I cared. When Sonos started offering the Apple iPhone and Android controller apps it pulled the economics of the system out of the stratosphere. The ease in setting up this system (took 5 minutes) and the stability day in, day out is what sets this system apart - it reminds me of Apple. Hearing my digital music and Pandora on my real stereo is a pleasure. If you have the money and you love music, I highly recommend this system.

    Obsolete Product

    Immediately after I purchased this, Sonos announced it was obsolete and would no longer be receiving firmware updates. I reached out to Sonos to ask if I could exchange or upgrade to a currently supported product and they totally ignored me. No response, nothing. Thanks Sonos.

      This is a great question and thanks for asking to allow for some clarification. Any Sonos Connect produced after 2015 will continue to receive all normal software updates and is compatible with all of our new products. This Connect, since it was purchased recently, will continue to receive all new features and updates just like it was a Sonos Beam that you purchased today. Further, we have committed to supporting all products with new updates for five years from end of sale and have a track record of supporting products for much longer than this over our nearly 15 years of creating products. The Connect you just purchased not only work but continue to receive all the innovation and updates Sonos is known for over the next several years.     Item arrived broken and missing power cable!

    Ordered item and it arrived a day later than expected. Left the country for 2 weeks and when I arrived and was excited to install it the item arrived without power cable. Tried to use my Sonos 1 power cable but it didn't turn on, ordered another cable and didn't work. Best buy only has a 15 day return date and I'm on date 17.

    This was supposed to be our home music center. But as we use it, it constantly cuts out or is unable to come on in sync without phones. We are endlessly unplugging the whole system and plugging back in to use it. Absolute junk!!

      In general, when a Sonos product is constantly cutting out there is some sort of a connection strength issue with the WiFi network. If the Connect is surrounded by other electronics products that are connecting to WiFi there may be some interference issues with where the Connect is placed. The team at sonos.com/support may be able to help ensure your connection is strong enough and that your Connect functions as you expect! john.milton
