Can finally use my turntable and sonos speaker.

Works wirelessly to connect my turntable to my Sonos speaker. Just a shame that my receiver can't do the same, even though it is both bluetooth and wifi capable. Guess Sonos did something to its speakers to ensure you had to buy this product.

    Exceeded my expectations

I own a Sonos 1 and as good as the sound is for the money, it could not match the sound of my home stereo. I'm a separates guy (tuner, pre amp, power amp, etc) and have over the years invested a decent sum in these components. All that with no streaming solution. The Sonos Connect fixed that, So easy to set-up. Truly the epitome of "plug-and-play". With my subscription to Spotify, I literally have access to thousands of recordings; using my gear just makes that experience sweeter. I got lucky and bought a Best Buy open box unit for a decent discount. Knowing what I know now, full price would have been worth it too. If you are looking for a solution like I was - the Sonos Connect is the answer!

I own a Sonos amp and six speaker system throughout the house and I was hoping that I could connect my outdoor TV as part of the Sonos ecosystem. No such luck didn't work so I returned it to the store

The salesperson who sold me this did not know the product. I ended up not only not needing this product. I didn't even have speakers to connect to it with. A total waste of my time.

I tried to connect it to a 17 year old system of built in powered speakers; it didn’t work for the old system so the product was returned to the store.

Incredible feat of design and engineering!

What an incredible feat of design and engineering. Kudos to Sonos! I am in music heaven, with my on line music collection, Pandora, and a whole world of free internet radio at my fingertips. I'm rediscovering many parts of my own music collection, as well discovering new music and artists throughout the world. Today I'm exploring ethnic music stations in Zambia! Everything about this system - hardware and software, exudes quality and aesthetics. Other than glancing at the easy 4 step setup instructions, I never had to pick up the instruction manual once. Everything just worked! And the controller software is very intuitive and easy to use, with a nice clean and logical design. I have a ZoneBridge connected to my router upstairs, and a ZonePlayer 90 connected to my surround sound system in my media room. It's such a trip to be sitting in front of my sound system, queuing up songs, creating playlists, and browsing a world of radio, all with my net book. It's great to have all my music sources integrated into one interface. The music coming out of my sound system instantly responds to my commands - play, stop, pause, skip to another track, mute, un-mute, change internet radio stations, listen to Pandora, etc, etc. And if I don't happen to have my net book handy, I can perform all the functions with my Android smart phone. Among the nice touches in design and engineering is that when you bring a zone out of mute, it ramps up the volume, rather than sending a spike of jarring sound through your system. Also, when you start up the controller interface on a different computer or smart phone, it is instantly synced with whatever your Sonos system is doing/playing at the time (as set by another instance of the controller). There are many little pleasant surprises like this. It's hard to explain the experience of this system. If you enjoy listening to music, don't walk, RUN to purchase a Sonos system.

The Connect has a slightly different use case than the Sonos Amp. The Connect does not include an amplifier and is designed to add traditional audio equipment to your Sonos system. This includes amplified turn tables, Audio Video Receivers, and a whole host of other audio video components. While the Sonos Amp is an incredible product, the Connect definitely has a use outside of what the Sonos Amp brings to the system. john.milton

    Great Wireless Stereo system

The Connect was so easy to set up. I plugged it into the electrical outlet and one wire from my receiver to the Connect. So easy. Now my receiver and speakers can be controlled with my iPad & iPhone. I also added some of the Sonos speakers in other rooms which I can play simultaneously or differently from my stereo. You have to have the Bridge connected to your main computer, but that was a very easy set up as well. I am very pleased with the whole Sonos system. It did just what I wanted, to use my existing system in one room, add wireless speakers in other areas and to be able to controll them all remotely.

I have been looking for a way to have remote volume and play ability for my vintage audio system. With Sonos Connect I am no able to do this. Very quick and easy setup. No hassles or confusing steps, etc. Took me about a half hour to go from the 20th century into the 21st and I can now sit in my listening chair and scroll thru my CDs on a tablet and then play them in any order I want along with having volume control that up until now I didn't have. I am 100% pleased with this Sonos product....................

In order for the Connect to work it does require having something that can play music on its own. The intent of the Connect is to connect that type of stereo equipment into a Sonos system to use your streaming services and the multi-room features of the Sonos system. john.milton

So i got the sonos bridge, I plugged that into the back room where the router is and i put the connect in the other end of the house. and i rarley get a drop out in the audio which is impressive since my router is old school and does not transfer allot of mbps and the computer i have the music on is hooked to the net work wirelesly. i was a little worried at least one of those 2 things would get me i am running this thew a cambride audio amp, a DAC and a set of Definitive speakers and i am pretty impressed with it, it sounded a bit more airy than i was accustomed to but still sounded great IMO and for the money i am quite happy with how it soudns, not sure how it sounds without the DAC but i hear there still pretty good with out a external DAC. a Hard Core Audio file may or may not be happy with this but a guy like me that just buys lower end high end stereo equipment i think this is a very nice addition. it sounds good for rock and roll, country, bluegrass, electonic stuff like OWL City what ever you call that kind of music. slow acoustic stuff, so far so good for what ever type of music i have thrown at it..

This has to be one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. First of all, it's the only thing on the market right now that can do what it does. And what does it do? Well, it perfectly and seamlessly integrates all types of music from your MP3's to local radio stations to internet services such as Sirius or Pandora. Awesome. It was so easy to set up. Just connect it to a set of powered speakers, hit two buttons, and bam! you're connected! However, I should mention that this is only one component of a larger system. It will not function by itself. You must have a controller, and an internet connection to the ZonePlayer to make it work. I have several of these in my house, and they all work great. For music lovers of any kind, the SONOS system is a must!!!

Spent a good amount for my home sonos system and my home theater system... now I can combined both systems together as one! I connected the Connect by an optical cable... and now I can enjoy amazing sound from every room of the house. Why let your home theater setup not be used when this is such a great asset to help fill your house with sound. A definite necessity!
