While ive really enjoyed atmos music its my forst priority, these have been a game changer for movies when used as rears with the arc. This eliminates the gaps in sound i experienced with the ones.

    Questionable

As a single or pair bluetooth speaker, highly recommended. As surrounds, I question the cost for for only parts of the speaker being active. As surrounds the right speaker only uses the right and top disabling the center and left, vice-versa for left speaker.

When added as rear surround speakers, center channes are disabled and leave you wanting more. Hopefully they provide a software update for this later.

    App issues & connectivity issues

This system is NOT worth the premium price. The app is not easy to use, i am relatively tech savvy. Some options in the app just dont show up until it pushes a recommendation to your phone. While i was fonding a good place for the sub. I would plug it back in & it would not reconnect, had to reset back to factory settings to get it connected. Iphone volume buttons do not work when streaming music to system. I have only had this system 2 days and ive been beyond frustrated. For 2 grand it better work ALL the time. I may return the entire system for something that works seemlessly whatever that may be.

    Disconnects easily and poor interface.

Run away from these. One will disconnect for no reason and there is no easy way to reconnect. Sometimes they will work and other times not. You will spend hours waiting for the 1 to 2 minute reconnection messages that will not work. Good sound when it works but highly quirky and poor interface. My cheap one speaker Sony works much better and easier.

    DO NOT BUY!

DO NOT BUY! My company, which supports IT, computer systems, etc. was hired to install this for a home user client of mine. Was an absolute night mare! after over 90 minutes if setup time and updates, the system would work if it wanted to. Very unreliable, painful setup. Not a dependable unit. After calling Sonos tech support, we reset units and reinstalled and then was a new problem. We boxed it up to return to bestbuy as this is the worst system my company and I have ever touched!

Will be useless in a few years

Please reconsider owning Sonos speakers. After a few years (as has happened to me) your speakers will become an absolute nightmare connecting to your router. When router technology improves, they won't connect, and you may like me, spend 3+ hours trying and still failing to connect a 6yr old Sonos speaker. Good luck simply expecting your speaker to connect to your wifi and play music. What I'm learning from Sonos tech support, is a ridiculously tedious need to split router signals, plug in an ethernet cable, factory reset the speaker, contact tech support for the newer router. Seems like they have finally found a way to force you to update your speakers. 4hrs layer i still only occasionally get music from an ethernet wired Sonos speaker because ofb technical difficulties that never existed until recently.

We are truly sorry to hear about the frustration you've experienced with your Sonos speakers, especially after years of use. It’s understandable that dealing with connection issues, especially with newer router technology, can be a tedious and disappointing process. We always aim to keep our products working seamlessly with the latest technology, and we recognize this hasn’t been your experience.

We would like to help find a solution for you. There are some steps that may help improve connectivity, such as adjusting your router settings or using a wired connection temporarily while troubleshooting the issue. Additionally, splitting the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands on your router can sometimes stabilize the connection. We know you’ve been through a lot already, but we encourage you to reach out to our tech support again to see if further adjustments can help. We truly value your long-term loyalty and want to ensure you continue enjoying your Sonos products. Feel free to reach out to us at support.sonos.com. john.milton

    Buyer beware

Horrible at staying connected. Everything was great for the first five minutes when it was connected. Then the app started slowing down and becoming unresponsive. Going back to using a UE Boom 3 since it is actually a dependable product. Don’t think I’ll be trying Sonos again.
