The Sonos Era 300 is fantastic for surround speakers in a home theater setup. They are also great for high fidelity music listening. I have found myself using my pair of 300s in both settings! These speakers are worth the price tag! The box themselves are greatly designed too which helped me with a recent move. If you already have Sonos products, these will be a great addition to your setup! If you are looking for a top notch speaker with easy compatibly and connections, the Era 300 is the way to go!

The Sonos Era 300 speaker in black is a testament to superior sound engineering. Its compact size is deceiving, as it delivers rich, room-filling audio with clarity and depth. The sleek design complements any decor, and the ease of setup and use is impressive. Whether for music, movies, or podcasts, the Era 300 provides an immersive audio experience. A remarkable addition to any home audio system.

Great upgrade to my Sonos system

Great upgrade to older speakers. I’ve got many Sonos speakers and this is a solid upgrade. The special audio is impressive if your room is the right size and shape. The speaker works best placed away from walls so it can bounce sound around after you use the tuning feature. Setup is easy with the app. The line-in adapter ($19) from Sonos allowed me to hook up my turntable to a single speaker and then send the vinyl sound to all my speakers. A single Era 300 is great for a medium sized room. If you have a more open concept space a pair of Era 100s will give better stereo sound and will fill the room better. Of course a pair of 300s is the best option but more expensive. The speaker is well built and solid. The sound improves after a “break-in” period but this is normal for a lot of speakers. Mine is paired with the sub and the sound is amazing from even a single speaker. If you have the Five and just do music, I don’t know if you should upgrade. The Five is still the best straight stereo speaker but the Era 300 is close. Of course the Era 300 has smart assistant features and a much faster processor as well as Atmos support. As a single speaker the 300 bass response is clean and solid. Adding a sub makes it even better

Immersive sound taken to another level

I added the Sonos Era 300 speakers as surrounds to my existing setup with the Sonos Arc and Sonos Sub (Gen 2), and honestly, this is the best home audio system I’ve ever experienced. The Era 300s completely transform the soundstage. Dolby Atmos content feels truly immersive, with sound coming from all directions, including overhead. Movies, shows, and even regular TV audio now feel cinematic. The separation and clarity are impressive, and effects move seamlessly around the room without overpowering dialogue. Music performance is equally impressive. Spatial audio tracks sound rich, detailed, and wide, and even non-Atmos music benefits from the added depth and presence. The speakers blend perfectly with the Arc and Sub, creating a balanced system with punchy bass, clear mids, and crisp highs. Setup was simple through the Sonos app, and Trueplay tuning helped optimize everything for my room. The build quality is premium, and the design looks modern without being distracting. Overall, pairing the Era 300s with the Arc and Sub takes an already great system and turns it into something exceptional. For anyone serious about home theater or immersive music, this setup is absolutely worth it.

The Sonos Era 300 is a bold step forward in smart speaker design and sound performance. It doesn’t just play music — it surrounds you with it. With its unique acoustic shape and forward‑thinking engineering, this speaker delivers spatial audio in a way that feels truly immersive, almost as if you’re standing in the middle of a live performance. Setup is quick and painless using the Sonos app, and it connects seamlessly to Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and voice assistants. The flexibility to stream directly from your phone or favorite services like Apple Music and Amazon Music (including Dolby Atmos tracks) makes it incredibly versatile for modern listening preferences. Sound quality is phenomenal. The six precision‑angled drivers project sound in every direction, creating a wide, room‑filling soundstage. Vocals are crisp, highs are bright, and bass is controlled yet deep — never boomy. The spatial audio support adds remarkable dimensionality; songs feel larger, more detailed, and full of life. The Era 300 also integrates beautifully in a multi‑room Sonos setup or as rear surrounds for the Sonos Arc or Beam, instantly upgrading your home theater to an immersive Dolby Atmos experience. Its clean, sculptural design looks modern and premium, a piece you’ll be proud to display.

First I have to say that I am not an audiophile, but an every day user with an appreciation for quality. Sonos ERA 300 is an absolutely fantastic stand alone speaker. It sounds great with no detectable distortion even at highest volume. It is wi-fi & blue tooth capable and connects wirelessly to your devices immediately. I have this in my living room that is about 24’x30’. With its multidirectional design this speaker fills the room very nicely. It’s sits on a shelf and does not have an imposing presence. It does not require an amp or other equipment to work. It has great base and produces every frequency fantastically. This speaker is not Bower & Wilkins that cost a great deal more, but for the price it’s a fantastic choice. I compared this to Bose & Marshal before my purchase and chose this one. Sonos definitely produces great audio equipment. Kudos.

Once again Sonos shows why it is an industry leader for wireless speakers. Setup was easy using the Sonos app. The bass is so good i dont think i will be getting an Arc sub. I do have an Arc soundbar that is paired with the Eras 300 and neither one over powers the other. I highly recommend these speakers whether for listening to music or watching TV.

I bought this open box in excellent condition for 20% off making it a better value. The speaker was shipped in the showroom box without a protective outer box and it had evidence of miss handling... so maybe it's better to get open box products directly from the store. Luckily the showroom box protected the speaker from damage. I'm using the speaker together with two Sonos One Gen2 speakers in a 400 sq/ft room to listen to streaming music. In general the set-up does well to create an immersive sound. The side firing drivers are like having two speakers back to back. The forward and upward drivers seem a little weak in comparison giving a less of an omni-directional feel than I had hoped. The base is tight and the sound is bright. It is excellent for being a wifi speaker, the best I've heard, however it lacks rich fullness of a good bookshelf speaker. The app is easy to use and setup is quick, but be ware that it want's access to your location and forces you to create an account (Still better than the HomePod which requires an iPhone to set-up).

The setup process is seamless, thanks to Sonos' user-friendly app that guides you through every step. The sound quality of the Era 300 is exceptional, delivering crisp and clear audio across a wide range of frequencies. Whether you're watching movies, playing games, or streaming music, the speakers offer a rich and immersive soundstage that enhances every aspect of your entertainment. Additionally, the speakers are versatile, providing excellent performance in both large and small rooms. Simply put these are the best surround speakers I have ever used. I have been deep in the home theatre scene since the beginning of Dolby pro logic! I have had all levels of home theatre set up’s from dedicated speakers, amps, tuners, surround processors and sound bars. I will tell you the Sonos is the best sounding with ease of use system I have ever had. Now it isn’t the best sounding system I have had, but everything considered, it is one of the best systems I have ever owned. Taking into account size, sound, ease of use, ease of set up, a compatibility, and price. Sonos reigns supreme. It does ouch above its weight in the sound department and give amazing atmos effects with the era 300’s. If you are on the fence rest assured these are the wonderful speakers and the serious the best surround speakers I have ever used. These do exactly what bipolar/dipolar speakers were supposed to do many moons ago.lol. The 6 built speakers truly give you movie theatre like immersion. Nothing on the market matches these for atmos except dedicated height channels. These really work.

This Sonos Era 300 is an absolute upgrade from my previous Sonos S1. The S1’s were great, but I felt they could have added a bigger, louder punch when listening to movies & music. The Era 300 is definitely bigger and heavier, with a premium look and feel. And with that bigger size, Sonos definitely updated the speaker components, and you can tell by the quality of the sound. I can absolutely hear and feel the sound as it resonates in my media room. It’s extremely easy to setup and calibrate with my other Sonos speakers. I’m so happy with this purchase and upgrade!

Coming from a Sonos One SLs for surround this is a MAJOR upgrade. The sound is SO impressive, crisp, clear, and robust. It’s legit theatre feel. I also like the fact that when you’re playing music they convert to normal speakers automatically (via a setting in the app) and then covert to surround while watching normal TV.

If your looking for the best sounding Dolby Atmos sound-bar setup look no further. Adding these speakers makes it punch like a custom built system. I had the Sony HTA7000 bar with the biggest sub and rears with the height channel but returned it because some vocals sounded tinty at times as well the spatial sound just didn’t seem the best for the price point. Fast forward to the Sonos Arc, 2 subs and the Era 300’s and I’m finally pleased. Hits well about the expensive price tag. Almost feels like your at an IMAX movie. Could probably do with just one sub though.

I have a full Sonos setup—Arc Ultra, Sub (Gen 4), and a pair of Era 300s. As a lifelong cinema enthusiast who hosts and streams my own content, I can confidently say that Sonos delivers a truly immersive experience. The sound quality is exceptional, from the deep, rumbling bass of the Sub to the detailed spatial audio of the Era 300s and the clarity of the Arc. It's not just sound—it's an experience that brings movies to life in a way few systems can match. Whether you're a casual listener or a dedicated home theater fan like me, the quality and ease of use of Sonos products make them a standout choice.

Sonos products are the best sounding and easiest set up out there. Pick a location in your house and plug it in. Add it to the app and you are ready to go. it is really that simple to have music in every room of the house. I used this in my office to keep my day bright. This small form factor packs a punch. I stream audio in the Sonos app from Apple Music and it sounds incredible. Some Atmos mixes give songs a new life. Setup was a breeze. You can choose to auto set up or you can wave your phone around the room for calibration. I reccomend this speaker, especially if you already have Sonos.

The Era 300 makes Dolby Atmos feel downright awesome. Spatial mixes have real height and width—vocals float, instruments breathe, and effects wrap the room. As a standalone it’s impressive, but pairing it with a Sonos Arc (an “Arc ultra” setup) is next level: use a pair as surrounds and the bubble of sound gets huge and cinematic. Music and movies both shine, Trueplay helps dial it in, and the black finish looks sharp. If you want immersive audio without a rack of gear, this is a killer choice.
