Play:1's are really all you need

Don't listen to anyone suggesting Play:5's. You can almost get 3 Play:1's for the price of a single Play:5! I can't express enough how just two Play:1's set-up as left/right stereo speakers absolutely destroy the sound of a single Play:5. Also, the smart speaker feature is overrated. I also recommend saving a bit and going with the SL. If you are looking to expand, my only suggestion is: A playbar/beam and the sub. The playbar adds utility by connecting to your TV for surround sound (don't buy playbar if not connecting to a TV). The sub, although pricey, truly does add a ton to the experience. All you need to do is put on some music, open up the Sonos app, go to the settings for the Sub, and turn it off. You will instantly regret it and realize how much value it provides to the room. If you can't fork over the 7-800 bucks, you'll be happy with just the Play:1's though!
