I have Connect:Amp powering a wired whole home audio setup and added the Play:1 to cover rooms we didn't wire. Setup is simple and the sound is awesome. I also love being able to move them around the house as needed.

Works great! Great sound and perfect for a small space! But it is powerful.

It was suggested to me that a wireless speaker, with access to online music sites, would be nice replacement for our long-gone stereo. I checked out various items online and came to the conclusion that the Sonos Play 1 would fill the bill. And, it did! I set it up in no time and linked a couple of services to it on my cellphone and tablet and away we went. Very easy to use with our Sirius and Pandora links and our small living room rocks with music whenever we want.

With the ability to play different groups of music in different rooms or sync all together, Sonos is a truly amazing system. This Play 1 speaker is idea for smaller rooms. You can also have two of them together and create your own surround sound.

We were looking for a way to easily add music capability to our home. We are older and, though we are technically more capable than most of our friends, we can struggle with complicated electronic or WiFi based installations. This Sonos speaker has the great sound that one would expect from Sonos (and that we have experienced before), while being a breeze to install. The addition of Alexa gives flexibility to sources of music and does not complicate installation or use. We are very pleased.

I wanted to have music of my choosing in my home office, so I purchased the Sonos Play. I connected it to my iPad and can choose endless tracks from Pandora or Amazon Prime. The sound is quite good, and I'm very happy with the purchase.

The Sonos system does a great job at syncing the sound wirelessly. These are great for both playing music and watching movies. I like that as rear channel speakers the sound is balanced just right...I've purchases too many of the boxed "home theater" packages in the past that were sub-par. The Sonos work great as rear channel and just the right sound level. Easy set-up too, just plug and play. The sound balancing and tuning is kind of a fun process as well! I've paired these with a Soundbar and Sub.

I compared Sony SRSZR5 with Sonos-play1. Keeping both the speakers next to each other and asking others without any clue which speaker is playing the song. I got really good reviews for Sonos especially regarding the sound of instruments. I will definitely recommend this speaker. But I had trouble using free version of spotify with sonos. Also for Indian classical music I think for the vocal sound Sony SRSZR5 performed better.

Good sound for a single speaker, easy to set up and use. We use it a lot and I'm definitely happy with the purchase.

These speakers are small enough to sit on a night stand or a toilet tank. Wonderful, versatile and powerful sound.

Went in for a blue tooth speaker but was educated by a knowledgeable sales rep about the sound quality of streaming over blue tooth. I am glad he did. My Sonos rivals (but not equal to) the sound quality of my B&W floor speakers.

After reading a couple of reviews and listening to the test demo in the store, I bought a Play 5 and a Play 1 for two separate rooms. Love the sound; little of any distortion at max volume. Solid bass and clear in the higher frequencies. While they are $500 and $200 respectively, I think they're worth it. Easing into stereo with another Play 1, but first I've put it into a third room. These are easily the best wireless speakers and Wi-Fi is clearly superior over BluTooth. Heavy and well built for a small speaker.

Being reasonably computer literate, I figured I could set up wireless audio system connected to the Internet, but you never know . . . some things end up being endless hassle. I spent longer looking over the cartoon-like instructions than actually installing. Could it really be this simple? Must be missing something. Nope. Plug in connector device upstream of router. Check. Plug in speaker. Check. Download Sonos app. Check. Put in my Pandora password. Music. Wow! This thing is the best designed device I've encountered since my original iPad.

A little skeptical at first but enjoying the play 1 in my livingroom. The sonos app is a snap to use. I recommend two and play them in stereo mode! ****NOTE****When you are not using the speakers, make sure you put them in pause mode!!

I have long awaited for a speaker system to have through out my house and I use them on a daily basis to start my day, or just when I am hanging out at home!! My system will continue to grow. So worth the cost!

Nice looking speaker, great sound. Not a huge bulky speaker, doesn’t take up much space at all.

Be careful, once you put a few of these in your house you can't stop. Great sound, easy to use, just plain fun.

This speaker sounds great. For the size you can’t beat it. I do wish it had a line in/aux Jack.

A friend introduce me to these speakers and i had to have them. I am currently in the process of buys more of them. The sound is the best around and to be able to control them with a mobile device is the best
