Sonos is by far the best in listening via WiFi you can buy. I would recommend any Sonos product. This is my 5th component and I will continue to add to the collection.

I purchased two Sonos Play 3 speakers to accompany the Sonos Playbar and Sub to produce 5.1 surround for my Home Theater. The result is an excellent sounding system. I debated getting the Play 1's instead, but after listening to them both, I feel the Play 3's have a richer sound. They have plenty of power to deliver distortion free sound for movies and music.

Play 3 are good as standalone speakers or u can cobine them as two stereo pair and have ground breaking sound. I am currently using them 5.1 surround helping the left & right rear for the surround. But they dont do much justice to the surround speaker, the soundbar alone is good enough to handle the movie, overall very much recommended.

Sonos has the competition beat with incredible sound & fabulous software. This particular unit is in the bar which pairs nicely with the sub and center channel speaker.

I started my sonos system with a play 3, I set this up in my bedroom and was content with the way it sounded. But then I decided to buy a second play 3 for the kitchen, and as its a large room the single play 3 was not enough for it. So I bought a play 5 and turned the second play 3 into a stereo pair for the play 3 in the bedroom. Once I saw how much better the stereo pair of play 3's sounded in the bedroom I bought a second play 5 for the kitchen. It kept going and now I have a playbar, the two play 3's in the bedroom, 2 play 3's in the living room, 2 play 5's in the kitchen and 2 subs, one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen. I guess they call it the sonos effect, the ability to add components throughout the house keeps you going. I have the three zones, and in the zones I can play the same music in all three, or play different music in each zone. I use my ipad/iPhone/ nexus 7 tablet as controllers. I say all this to show the flexibility of the system. The music choices are many as well. You can play directly music from your iTunes account, amazon cloud player, songza, spotify, pandora, tune in radio among others. With my playbar I have my Apple TV connected to it, so I can AirPlay almost anything I want on the system. On the weekends I have my tv sound going to the playbar, so I can group all of my zones together and have the sound from whatever sporting event I want playing throughout the house. The play 3 by itself sounds good, a second play 3 in a stereo pair sounds great. Though as I found out, the play 3 is for smaller rooms, if you have a larger room to fill you'll want to step up to a play 5.

We chose the SONOS PLAY:3 because it fit in our family room. We already have two other bookshelf speakers connected with a SONOS Connect:AMP in our living room and liked that so much that we added this to the system. We may add another someday to make it a stereo, although it sounds so good in the room that may not be necessary. The sound is clear and the whole system works together. Wonderful!

You can control the Sonos Play:3 single-speaker streaming-audio system from any iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, or Android smartphone using a free app. It offers good sound, its compact, elegant design cuts down on cord clutter, and it can stream Internet-based radio and audio services, plus your own digital music collection, from any Mac, PC, or NAS drive. Also, it's simple to set up, particularly if you already own a Sonos system.

We purchased the Sonos play three to add to our existing system. Our basement area was recently remodeled and this portable speaker will reside in my sewing studio. .

First time sonos owner. I bought a pair of these to start my surround system and I like a lot. Lots of sound out of these small speakers. crisp and clean sound. Planning on getting the subwoofer and playbar hopefully soon. I went to buddy's house and listened to his sonos system prior to buying and I was convinced. Planning on purchasing at least one play5 in the future.

The Play 3's are incredible, especially when you consider their price range. A single Play 3 can fill a 36 x 16 room, and two of them can fill the entire floor of a house. These speakers are both an amazing addition to a Sonos sound system that you're already setting up around the house (or as a media center the way I use these normally), and a great place to start building a Sonos Sound System from. The Play 1's are really good speakers, but the Play 3's are so great, I would easily classify them as being worth 2 1/2 - 3 times what a Play 1 can do. With more than double the performance, paying the extra $100 (that's only half the cost of the Play 1) is as far from a bad idea as you can get. Yes, the speakers are $300 each, but if you're looking at getting 2 Play 1's instead, buy a single Play 3, then get another when you save up the cost of another Play 1. Looking at it that way, you're paying the cost of 3 Play 1's (1 1/2 for each) to get 2 Play 3's, and considering every Play 3 is worth 2-3 Play 1's, you're coming out way ahead. These are more than worth the investment.

Being able to easily move these speakers throughout the house is a huge plus. It takes just a minute to hook them up & quality sound is where you need it. The app for sonos is amazing. Anyone with the app can add songs from their music library on their phone. From the app you can also access the music from your home computer. Its great for a party where everyone can add music to a group playlist for everyone to enjoy.

What a great speaker. So easy to hook up and use with all phones, pads... App works perfectly for controllability. Now I want to add more sonos speakers in other rooms!

outstanding sound. I can hear the music throughout the entire yard. This is an additional speaker to my system - two speakers is all I need inside and out of the house !

The Sonos system that i bought gives great sound, and ease of use. I have a tri-level home, and have two play 1's upstairs, a play 3 on the main, and another play 1 on the lower. being able to group all 4 rooms, or play 4 different songs at the same time, or any combination of rooms is great. i'm looking forward to expanding my system in the near future, as i want to hook up my turntable as well.

If you are only using 1 Sonos per room, the Play 3 gives you a richer musical experience than the Play 1.

Sonos is amazing. All the products work well and sound perfect. I have two subs, two playbars, 6 play 3s, 4 play 1s and have never had a hiccup. Love the app too!

I hesitated buying the play 3 due to the cost, but I am very happy with the product. It was easy to set up the Sonos app is intuitive and the sound quality is amazing!

Purchased the Sonos for my husband and we LOVE it. Any combination of rooms, music and volume can be arranged through an app on our phones. Should have done this years ago!
