I researched wireless speakers for a while before buying. I finally settled on the Sonos brand since it seemed to have all the features I was looking for. I purchased this Play 3 first to see if it would be adequate for the room I intended to put it in. It did a great job with very full sound! Since then I have also bought a Connect:Amp to add outdoor speakers and plan to buy a few more speakers to finish out the other rooms in the house.

Consumer Reports has this at the top of its speaker ratings. I move it around depending on what I am using it for. My parents are hard of hearing, so when they visit I set the Play 3 on a stand right next to them, group it with my Sonos soundbar, and they can hear the TV without blasting the volume so no one else can talk! I put it in the kitchen so I can hear the TV, or I put it where I am just to listen to music. You need the Sonos Bridge to move it around like this, but it is worth it!

As a professional within the music industry, I am always skeptical about anything that is wireless. However, the Sonos speakers are top-notch. A little overpriced, but top-notch.

We added the Sonos 3 with a Sonos 5, and are getting brilliant sounds, with definite superb quality. I love that we can link the two (which are in different rooms) and listen to a surround sound affect in most of the house. Or we can unlink them and listen to totally different things in each room! Wonderful quality, great sound through all levels....lovin' it!

I added the speaker to my sonos system to have a good sound in the kitchen. Easy to install and sounds good.

I set this up in my Kitchen and love the wireless feature of being able to play music from it. Still getting familiar with all the channels and choices but most of them are free, which is nice.

Was in store and was just looking at wireless speakers. Salesperson should me Sonos and I heard no difference between them and Bose. Only thing that was better was the price.

These speakers sound good as well as are convenient. No speaker wires -- just plug them in to AC power.
