    AMAZING!!!!

I read the reviews for quite a while and researched before buying 1 of these play 3's. Even with so many good things being said about it I NEVER expected this. AMAZING sound from a small and wireless speaker. Easy to setup. Easy to move around from room to room until we get more of them. Playing Pandora, local radio stations, downloaded music. Planning to get another one of these plus the Playbar to have this be my surround sound system. If you want great sound for a surround sound system or just music for a room and don't want to have to run a bunch of cables this is the speaker for you.

I have added this Play:3 to my stereo pair of Play:5's. I am impressed with Sonos sound and functionality. Over 5 people who have visited my house have gone out and purchased Sonos systems.

    The Wave of the Future

This product is clearly the wave of the future. It has no wires, is portable and plays your entire music Itunes library, Sirius (with Sirius subscription) and Pandora and hundreds of other music services by streaming them through your existing wireless network. I hate to say this but these Sonos products virtually make my Bose Sound Docks obsolete. The sound is comparable to Bose but they are much more versatile and give you access to a greater range of musical options without even getting out of your easy chair. Love the product! Easy to install! And a pleasure to use!

I purchased this product as a gift for my husband. He has been looking for an alternative way to have music available throughout our house and patio. This product was easy to set up, very flexible, and blew his socks off when it came to quality and volume of sound. I would recommend this to anyone. While it is more expensive than other products out there, it is well worth it as it is very flexible and can take the place of many other components. I do suggest you get a bridge to go with it so that you can move the speaker throughout your house if desired.

    Superior Sound

I picked one of these speakers up recently and couldn't be happier! The sound is amazing, especially coming out of such a small speaker. Setup is really easy with just a few button clicks. I currently have the speaker in my study, but I can hear the sound all throughout the apartment. The only bad thing is the price, but I was able to buy this speaker with my credit card points. Overall, I am very happy. If you are looking for a compete home audio system and you have a few extra bucks (maybe a few hundred) to spend, you won't be disappointed!

I purchased 2 play 3's as my rear speakers to go with my sonos sub and playbar. However I received my play 3's 2 days before the remaining equipment arrived. The play 3's connected to my phone and each other flawlessly.

I use two Play 3's in my kitchen and love them. The setup was about 100 times faster and easier than the Samsung M7's. From the time I plugged them in to the time thy were ready was about 10 minutes. The opions are limitless.

We started off with the SONOS Play Bar and after using it for a few months, we decided to expand our collection to an outdoor patio speaker and choose the Sonos Play 3 wireless speaker. It works flawlessly and being able to Play the same or different music in every room is way cool. We are now going to purchase the Sonos Subwoofer. Amazing Amazing Amazing.

    The best wireless system

The Sonos system is fantastic! We have not had any troubles. The only issue we encountered was being able to turn the device on from our smart phones once our computer went to "sleep". But, we did get around that issue by turning on an alarm on our computer that would "wake" the computer prior to a set time we wanted the music to turn on each evening. The sound and ease of use is great! It is a little pricy, but I'm also looking forward to adding additional speakers periodically.

Great component for an average room

I own both Play 5 units for our living space, and a Play 3 that we use in our bedroom. For the size of the room, I'd actually rate the sound slightly better than the Play 5, although I mean no dissatisfaction regarding either. The fact is that the Sonos concept allows me access to my hundreds of CDs anywhere in the house, grouping units or listening independently, and has given us the opportunity to use Pandora, Rhapsody, and Spotify to first find similar artists to our favorites, then to listen to our new finds in depth before buying new releases. The Play 3 does sonic justice to every style of music we enjoy.

    Most Excellent...

I was compelled to write a review on this product because of a previous reviewers comments that gave this item a 2 star rating. I chuckled because in the "about me" section he listed he was "tech savvy" and complained that the Best Buy sales person said he could play his music wirelessly from his ipod/ipad.....any "tech savvy" individual would have performed due diligence before entering a Best Buy and not blame the product because of their inability to google. The Sonos 3 is a perfect fit for a complete Sonos experience. The sound quality is remarkable for such a small box, we use ours in the master bath and also take it outside if we are sitting on the patio or working in the garage. Future plans are to install additional Sonos Amps for the patio and Master Bath. Lack of external connectivity "inputs/outputs" is a drawback, but since we drag this one all over the house it is not a deal breaker. The Sonos App is not bad, but it would be nice if they would place controls similarly for both the ipod and ipad....for example the play and volume controls are located on the top while using the ipad and along the bottom for the ipod...again, not a deal breaker, but just irritating.

This is an extremely easy to setup and use wired or wireless entertainment system. I bought one speaker to try it and now I have it set up in 4 rooms. It is so easy to use and the sound is pretty good considering the size of the speakers. My wife uses it everyday and loves it.

I am a huge fan of Sonos and was pleased to see them develop the Play 3. This is a perfect speaker for a smaller room or bedroom. Fantastic sound and, typical of Sonos, incredible build quality. What I really appreciate is the fact that it took me less than 10 minutes to set up the speaker including opening the box. I highly recommend using an iPad, if available, to control the system. The Sonos remote is great, but save the money if you have an iPad and download the free app.

Recently purchased the Sonos Play3 system, and hooked it up in the kitchen. When my wife comments that its looks good, you know that these are spot on!! I love the way the controller resides on my iPhone and iPad and is incredibly user friendly, giving me full access to my pandora and I heart radio. Somewhat limited access to my iTunes unless I access via the Mac. Can't wait to buy another speaker !!

I purchased a couple of S5 (Play 5) back in December but wanted something for the bathroom. This is perfect, and just like my Play 5s setup was a breeze. It's a real solid product and the sound is great, just a smaller version of the Play 5. Its great with the BB card and w/financing, that way it's paid in full over time and no additional fees, just great ! Run, dont walk to BB for this product!

I was a hesitant to purchase this because store demo was not that impressive, but I was convinced by a Sales Rep that the sound was good and the set up would be easy. I was pleasantly surprised that the sound was much better once I set it up at home. The bass is good for such a small speaker.

I lucked out and bought a Sonos Play 3 that someone had returned unopened so got a few bucks off because these never go on sale. Love the sound, the ease of use and am definitely getting another one in the future for the upstairs of my place. Well worth it!

I had been planning to get a Sonos system for about half a year and decided to pull the trigger when I saw the Christmas offer of buying either a Play:3 or Play:5 and getting the Bridge for free. I can't say enough good things about this system. I recommend it to everyone I talk to and a day doesn't go by that my family doesn't listen to music via our Sonos. Focusing on the Play:3 in particular these speakers are a breeze to connect to the Bridge and sound amazing for their size. We have two Play:3 speakers covering our living room and kitchen (very open floor plan) and they are perfect. You get very accurate and vibrant sound from both (there is an EQ that you can tweak via the Sonos controller program for each speaker independently) with power to spare... we've never turned them up past half way. You can group the speakers together and play the same music through both or you can separate them and play different music to each (completely controllable on the fly using the Sonos controller app). I plan on adding more speakers in the future so we can cover the entire house, back patio, and garage in music. If you're on the fence about getting a Sonos system do yourself a favor and buy it. You won't regret it.

    Great Sound From Little Box

The sound that this thing produces is outstanding. It can fill a large room at 50% volume and easily satisfy a small room at 25%. Yes it's expensive but worth it.
