Good speakers for avid music listeners, falls short on wireless home theater solution. Reason for downgrading: requires an outlet, not a wireless home theater system, requires an expensive package to even become a home theater system, and support is subpar for what should be the most common integration into your iTunes account. Positives: Quality is good, seamless integration for most cloud based music services, tons of stations to listen to, works with smartthings hub, I haven't tested but Sonos just added profiles (for family members with different music taste#... Shortcomings explained: First, not wireless as claimed. You still have to plug it into an outlet for power which is frustrating as all the commercials you see it sitting behind your couch on a table #like I have# playing sound never showing the wires to your plug you have to run to it. Second and first continued, does not connect to home theater system standalone. You need a $700 sound bar or sub/bridge and group it to the sound bar, which again goes back to my first point it is not wireless because you have to run a wire from the tv to the sound bar and to have the speakers behind a couch you have to run a plug to them. Third, it is not easy integration into iTunes account. I have yet to figure out how to integrate them. I shared my iTunes on the network #which I hate doing# but still failed to connect. Fourth, customer support is subpar. Just going onto their site and look at their customer support responses, most of the time it is follow the on-screen instructions #but what do you do when the on-screen instructions fail and the hard to find limited troubleshooting/guided help fails as well). Nowadays you expect support on these hi-tech devices to be available in chat form for quick responses but that is not available with Sonos. So if you want to listen to music or radio stations while plugged to an outlet these are good speaker and service. But if you want a wireless home theater system or a speaker you can carry to a workshop or place on a table in the middle of the room without running a plug, this fails to meet the mark.

Purchased my second Sonos Speaker. Took several calls to Sonos to get Playbar to work with new tv and Comcast remote. Second speaker in the other room works only about half the time. The app on both of our phones works less than 25% of the time and keeps saying it cant find the system. You have to go through the whole set up. That last for a couple days and then stops working. I would not recommend these to anyone! too expensive and to flighty!

Great product to complete the songs ecosystem. My only gripe is that I wish Sonos displays the ability of wireless capabilities with the songs play models. Other than that, the product is amazing!

I purchased 2 Sonos Play 3 speakers and the boost about 2 years ago. I really liked the concept and thought the sound quality seemed a good value. I also compared ta similar concept Bose system which is more expensive I use the two play 3 speakers in an open concept kitchen and family room. I use an old iPhone as a remote. The sound quality is pretty good but not great. The Sonos software is why I am so unhappy with this system. It constantly disconnects with the speakers and has to be reconnected which is a frustrating process. Even lifting or touching a speaker to dust around it causes the speaker to be disconnected. Having to reconnected the boost and speakers about 50% of the time I try to use it, has me hardly using this system at all. Connecting my iTunes based library has been a disappointment. You will have to purchased iMatch at $25 annually just to get older music you already paid for to work! Although that may be more of an iTunes issue but still it is a factor in my dissatisfaction in the Sonos system I don't know if the Bose system would have the same issue with iTunes music. Overall, I would not recommend this system.

This is a great item if you are looking for a multi-room/wifi connected speaker. Using the app is very easy and set-up is a breeze. It is a bit pricey, but definitely worth what you pay for it.

Love my Sonos system. The sound is wonderful. Glad they come in the white color. They were very easy to install. I did need to add an Airport Express to cover wifi in all areas of my home.

Since I already had a Sonos system in place it was an easy choice to add a Play 3 for a new porch. Simple, sleek look, hides out in a corner, but provides a full sound for 250 sq ft. and more.

Bought the sound bar, subwoofer, and 2 3's. One of the guys I work with loves SONOS and said the sound was incredible. I have my basement rocking the house with this system.

This sound system sets the standard. Works well with my Apple products and adds features like internet radio stations.

Love this system! Exchanged the Play1 for this Play3 - much bettter sound. Ready to purchase more for music in other rooms.

Sonos is awesome...i have 4 play 3's and they rock! my 2800 sqft house is jammin' with two upstairs and two downstairs....

I would have loved to have given this product a 5. The sound is full, rich and powerful. Will eventually add another speaker for stereo. However I needed this speaker as an addition to an existing zone 2 pair of speakers. Sounded easy enough but the sound delay is unbearable. I called Sonos support and was told that my Yamaha 860 AV receiver needed to be adjusted. I called Yamaha support and they said that this is a Sonos and wireless software issue. Which made sense. The workaround is to turn down the volume on the hard wired zone 2 speakers and play the Sonos only. Changing the DSP on the Yamaha to straight mode helps a little but does not eliminate the delay. Great product but not for all applications.

Love the Sonos system. The ease and ability to add Sonos speakers or move speakers where ever you want them is wonderful.

Bought them to add surround sound and they work magnificent, if you want that extra boom go with a play 3.

Have in stereo pair worth every penny spent might add sub but don't think needed

It was so easy to set up & the smartphone app is a must! We love it.
