I have been using sonos for a couple of years throughout my house. I have the playbar, sub, and play 3s as surrounds for the living room and play 1s in other parts. My most recent play 3 went to the garage. I work in and out of the garage, so I was somewhat concerned with how well I could hear it when I was outside in the yard or driveway. It is located in the back of the garage and I have no trouble hearing it wherever I am. Also, I was concerned with it being in the garage during the cold winters but I spoke with sonos and they were very confident I would not have a problem. I have been into home and car audio for as long as I can remember and I have never recommend a product that I can confidently stand behind more than sonos. Easy choice for a quality speaker and the sonos application is perfect.

very very good sound, but I am not sure it is me, but it seems you cannot use it as a speaker to play Youtube or anything else unless you buy a program to "cast' on Sonos

Outstanding sound quality. I've debated for years about getting Sonos. I looked into several other high quality brands including Bose and Helios. This went into my office which has some sound echoing issues already but the calibration feature is amazing. Truly makes Sonos stand out. The sound quality it produces once you calibrate it is unparalleled with no echo or reverb. The speakers are being run over wifi with the Sonos app and Spotify. I also went with a Sonos because the sales person stated that he Sonos system plays better with music apps than the other systems I was looking at. This is critical to me as I am agnostic regarding my music apps. I'm not a fan of sole proprietor apps or platforms. The Sonos did not disappoint. I am sold for life on these speakers and brand.
