Clear sound and easy to setup still learning the app

I returned my entire Samsung Radiant set and replaced them with one of every sonos speaker. The sonos sound MUCH better, dont distort like the samsungs did, the software works better. Also, with the sonos bridge it doesnt choke up my WiFi. Samsung didnt have a comparable product to the bridge. Overall, Sonos still owns the home speaker market.

Looks great and sound quality is fantastic in medium sized rooms. Setup is typical sonos simple. Only complaint is price - wish there was a $100 less expensive play:4 or something.

Was going to buy the Bose but after listening in store to all similar speakers this was by far the truest sound and no distortion as the volume increased. Liked it so much I have paired it with a second 5 and even better.

I have heard the Gen 1 speaker when on vacation. This Gen 2 is amazing. Loud, full of bass and easy working app! Love the options and how it tunes specifically for the room! I am happy I purchased this speaker.

Amazing sound and easy to set up with the APP. I do want another one for stereo but another 500 is it much. but for one speaker it is crystal clear. I got this for use with a record player and that has been great. It is a clean setup and looks great. I use another Alexa device and make this the default speaker and it works over wifi. that allows the stereo jack to be used for the record player and all other streaming audio. When I got it the "Alexa Default speaker"setting was not an option so it was Alexa or record player. Now, I don't have to keep unplugging.

I recently decided to set up a whole house music system and after much review decided upon a Sonos system for its easy setup and aesthetics. I couldn't be happier. I have the single Play 5 in the basement in a room about 30' x 20' and the sound easily fills the space. I also added Play 1's on the first and second floors. The sound is crisp and the bass deep and perfect for the dance crowd at a party. Does it hold up next to my B&W speakers in the man cave, no, but it's also nowhere near the price. I love the streaming options Sonos provides, music throughout the house without a delay and the ease of use with my phone, iPad and even my watch. It does what it was intended to do reliably and with the quality I expected. For me, that's enough.

Wow! What a fantastic system this Sonos is. I almost never listened to a song on my IPhone or IPad. Now I listen on my Sonos system for one hour to three hours straight. It is that great. I bought the Sonos sound bar, subwoofer & two play five speakers. It was expensive but worth every Penney. Can not go wrong with the Sonos system.

The Sonos 5 is a big sounding speaker. For its size, it can compete with other speakers much larger. Of course the wireless set-up with the Sonos App makes tuning the speaker a snap. Great, great big sound!

This speaker sounds great and looks good. Better suited for a larger room. Has small rubber feet that allow for flexibility in standing a variety of ways. Simple to set up and use. Very happy with this purchase.

High quality sound from a small speaker. I use them with stands. Very important to me is sound is smooth and non fatiguing. I listen to all types of music and especially enjoy voice and classical music. Does quite well with complex passages.

These sound amazing! Price is steep, which is the only con, but you get what you pay for (high end audio). They are much larger than the play 1s and the play 3s are being eliminated.

Buy the Sonos PLAY:5 Wireless Speaker, you will be blown away- I know I am. All of the Sonos speakers are awesome (I also have Play:1s and Play:3s). The sound quality is amazing- in my opinion they can only be beat by speakers that cost several thousand dollars each- not worth it unless you're an audiophile with very fine hearing. I LOVE that they're wireless and all the music we play through them is via our wi-fi. Doesn't skip, doesn't miss a note, and with the app you can use your phone to totally control all of the music in your home. If you have Sonos in multiple rooms, you can have the same thing playing at once, or you can select separate sources for each room. I'm hard to impress but hands down, I am impressed by Sonos!

The play 5 is a great speaker. I'm using it in a smaller bedroom as a television speaker and for wireless music - something I didn't realize I was missing before Sonos. This speaker can definitely fill more than a 15x15 bedroom. I was all in with the Bose sound touch system and this is light years ahead of that. Sonos has already updated the speakers and iOS app in less than a month of ownership, while Bose was very slow to send out updates that would often break features that were working before the update with no pathway to fix. I bought this speaker for my newly remodeled basement. I have the 5.1 setup in my family room. The sound quality of the Play 5 is significantly better than the 5.1 system, with the exception of the bass. However, the bass quality is still very good for being a self contained speaker with no subwoofer.

I have Sonos all over my house, but this new play 5 takes it to a new level. Sound quality is crazy good and being able to stream all the music in the world is just a bonus.

Excellent sound and bass for a small unit. This coming from someone who use to have big Klipsch speakers and class A amplifiers. Great product and software for a small space.

The sound quality is top notch. So easy to control the app with iPad/iPhone. I was planning to buy a Bluetooth receiver so I can connect Pandora directly to the speaker, but with the recent software update, it’s no longer needed. I can simply cast Pandora to the speaker. So much easier. Loved it!
