This is the best sounding speaker I have owned. My ear can't usually tell the difference in speakers but this one I can. Love it.

This is a very exceptional sounding speaker! If you are considering a system to stream music with you really can't go wrong with SONOS. Great products and great app!

This is the 2nd Sonos player to be added to my network (added to a Play 1 in my bathroom). Just like the Play 1 the quality of sound from the size of package is incredible. There are never any audio dropouts, the software is great and music streaming options are endless. My one gripe is there is not an easy way for a guest to play music. But I will easily forgo that luxury for consistent, reliable and amazing sound quality on a wireless system. This speaker has bass for dayssssss.

I am truly enjoying all my SONOS components. This is my second Play 5...set up as a stereo pair in the living room (a rather large, open room). The sound is great...rich and clear. The set up is so easy, all pieces work together flawlessly. The controller app is very simple to use. Yes, they are expensive, but the work exceptionally well. If cost is a concern, look for open box deals, Best Buy has them fairly frequently in my area. You will not be disappointed!

Great sound, plenty of strong bass. Powerful enough for a large size family room. Had problems hooking up to my favorite music app. This is my second, the first quit and customer service worked with me to get the code that it put out and they had a replacement to me in 4 days.

I started with just a playbar and a couple play ones, and now I can not stop... The Sonos Play:5 is an amazing piece of hardware with wonderful depth no matter what genre of music I am playing!!!

I got the Sonos 5 because it had an aux input that I could connect with the record player, which is the only negative with the product line in general that neither of the smaller versions support this input as well. Back to the positives which are literally everything about the speaker from the design which is sleek and simple to the performance which is what I'd come to expect from Sonos. I connected the 5 to the turntable (via provided lines) and added the speaker to the list of devices through the app. From there you have to do a little customizing such as selecting that the "line in" function which will tell the speaker to accept signal over the aux port and selecting the level of amplification. The turntable, an Audio Technica, has a pre-amp but it's insufficient to really get the sound quality on it's own. That took a couple minutes to figure out exactly what setting I wanted to use but it's a preference thing, you could just bump it to 8 and call it a day. But now I have the option to stream music or listen to records throughout the whole house without any cables, which was the goal.

I have matched up this play 5 with two play ones in my house. The sound is fantastic and now that Apple Music is available the experience is that much better

New Sonos 5 is definitely an improvement over the original Sonos 5. The speaker is much more robust in it's construction and more importantly the sound that it produces. The bass response is appreciably deeper then its predecessor. The Sonos 5 also complements the Sonos Soundbar and Subwoofer perfectly (the original Sonos 5 couldn't be integrated with the Soundbar or the Subwoofer for a surround sound experience). All in all a must for a first time Sonos owner or a true Sonos lover

I love the way the Sonos sounds. If fills up every room I have used it in. It's very portable.

My family wanted a wireless speaker system to avoid cabling the house, dealing with single blue tooth speakers that are under powered and not having the ability to use it with all our stereo, TV and portable device. This product fit our requirements and I have no regrets at all.

The Sonos PLAY:5 Wireless Speaker provides all the sound I need for inside and outside. It really nice to have the plug in adapter to use when friends have non wireless devices and want to play there music.

Very pleased with this speaker. It fills a large kitchen, family room with great sound where I previously had a Bose radio that no one could hear. Even plenty of nicely done bass. This single speaker does just fine. Modern wi/fi controls alow me to control from with iPhone, iPad or computer. When I need music on the deck... no problem. Just move it outside. A Sonos sound bar and sub have replaced a Bose home theater as well. Much better sound for less money an no wires.

Absolutely love Sonos and all of there products. They sound great and very easy to set up.

I have other sonos speakers, the sound bar, 2 play 3's, and the sub for my surround. I didn't hesitate to buy this at all and I don't regret it. The sound is amazing and it fills the large room that it's in. Best speaker for the price and it's super easy to setup pairing the zones so music is almost throughout the house is great. I can't find anything wrong with it.

For a long time, I wanted a system in which I could play my CD's in any room in my home and also outside on the patio and at the same time, be able to switch over to my favorite FM jazz and classical music station when there was something I liked on the program and hear that in any room or on the patio. I had my CD's downloaded from my computer on my I-pad using ITunes and thought that I would turn to Blue Tooth. I went to Best Buy and explained my needs. Two sale persons in the Home Sound system section at Best Buy told me about Sonos and demonstrated it to me. Wow!! It has fulfilled all of my dreams. I purchased three speakers (one big one and two small ones). They work off my wifi system at home. They are simply plugged in wherever I wish to place them. The sound is phenomenal, like in a concert hall. I can select either from the downloaded CD's on my I-pad or any one of many FM radio stations. I can control the volume of the individual speakers from my I-pad wherever I happen to be. So, if I am upstairs in my office, and my wife is in her studio, I can place the speakers accordingly and then set the respective volumes accordingly. I never thought that my dream would be so well fulfilled!! I have always had the 24/7 Geek Squad technical service program and these speakers are included. So, if I have any problems, I'll be able to have them resolved or have them replaced (I have always had this excellent technical service at Best Buy for my computers).. The service I received at Best Buy opened these doors for me and the sales person in Best Buy took ample time to explain to me how to set the system up. I also have called Sonos twice and immediately received excellent service (and it was not outsource to a foreign speaking person).

This was my first Sonos and now I have 5. Incredible sound and a snap to set up. Love them!!

I had really been looking forward to adding this piece to my sonos collection. I have several Play 1 and the playbase. Of course the sound quality is clear and high quality. However, the speaker isn’t as loud as I thought it would have been. My downstairs is pretty open and it doesn’t fill the area the way I anticipated. Had to add another Play 1 to get the results I desired.

I bought the Play5 for a room in close proximity to the room with my Playbar. I was very impressed with the sound given the size and all the functionality that comes with a Sonos. I have four zones of sound in my house through an A-Bus system and used the Sonos Connect to drive those zones with the Sonos. The Play5 sounds much better than the home audio speakers. The setup was a breeze and best of all even my wife loves it and finds the Sonos app easy to use.
