I actually had my heart set on a Bose system, but after listening side by side, I was surprised and impressed by the sound quality. The Bose system was nice and still what I assume is of the same quality of previous Bose products I have owned. But The Sonos was impressive enough to me I choose it over the Bose. After having the Sonos Play5 in use for sometime now, I still am quite happy with my choice. The only issue I have had with the Sonos is for some reason, I occasionally loose Wifi communication, necessitating a re-connect, which can get slightly complicated, but manageable by a typical/average computer user such as myself. But I can not say if that is related to the Sonos itself. Overall, Very happy with the product.

Very happy with the Sonos 5! Great sound and very easy to set up if you first read the instructions!!! I am enjoying this Sonos immensely! I have always been into listening to music and this speaker brings out the best quality sound from each track I select.....

We bought a Play-1 to see if we liked the system, and it was great. Then we bought two Play-5's for the entertainment room and two more Play-1's for the breakfast room. Easy to build out a whole house system in bite sized increments.

Love my Sonos! The BestBuy salesman suggested the Play-5 and the Play-1 and so glad he did. They are incredibly easy to set up and love how you control it by the Sonos app on your phone. The sound quality on the Play-5 is incredible. Very happy with this purchase!

They are rather big but sound bigger than they look. Good quality, nice sound

I was worried about the limitations of being locked into the Sonos system but that concern evaporated when I saw the speaker has an auxiliary input. The sound is fantastic and exceed my expectations. The depth of bass really sold me.

The speakers are incredible in providing full sound. The bass is strong such that no sub woofer is needed. I've actually directed my TV through the Play 5 speakers since they are so full in sound. This step eliminates a sound bar (not SONOS) and a sub woofer.

Sonos 5 is an awesome wireless speaker, but there's much more to it than that. I have it as part of a whole system - Sonos Sound bar under a (Sony) TV, a Sonos Play:1 in the bathroom, and the Play:5 in the bedroom. The 5 has amazing sound for a wireless single speaker, but the real benefit is the Sonos system itself which allows you to literally play the same podcast, TV show, movie, radio station, etc. in every room of the house (You can also play different things in different rooms but I'm in an apartment and the idea was to be able to start something and listen to it whichever room I was in.) My TV includes an Android TV platform, I have Xfinity cable, a DVD, and Apple TV, an all sources to all media work amazingly through Sonos. The 5 is their top of the line speaker and is probably almost overkill for my bedroom but the clarity of the sound is terrific.

I use this speaker outside and inside. Connects easily and has great sound.

Very good speaker with rich bass and very powerful. Works great with all music services and they offer a ton of choices for radios from all over the world. You cannot go wrong with this speaker. Buy two and you won’t regret it.

I had purchased other Sonos products. This one did not disappoint. Easy to install and set up. Great sound and quality. Bought it last minute for a party at home. My 16 year old has it set up, installed and working in less than 10 minutes.

Amazing and well worth every dollar spent. It's not only incredibly simple to use, but the sounds is like nothing I've heard from similar home theatre systems. Highly recommended. Plus it looks cool. :-)

I already own several sonos speakers and these play 5 speakers are awesome.

After calibrating one Sonos PLAY:5 speaker in the combined kitchen/family room this speaker easily fills the room with sound with good high frequency coverage around the room, clear midrange, and full bass. Highly recommended.

This sonos speaker can stand alone and fill your area with beautiful sound.

Just an amazing speaker with sound that resonated throughout the room. A little tricky to set up but once done it is simple easy to use and sound great. The sound is deep and clear and there is a lot of bass coming from the speaker.

After years of using a Bose lifestyle system it finally died and we needed something new to replace it. Could not be happier with the sound quality, ease of setup and the simplicity of the sonos app to use. Will be buying additional units in the future.

great quality sound and speaker using airplay. unfortunately Sonos doesn't play well with apple products or software. would like to see better connections
