I bought this speaker for an outside option. The play 5 has no problem connecting inside, and definitely packs a punch even outdoors. It also adds a nice treble to my play bar, sub, and two play 1.

Loved the apps, sound was great. Not easily integrated with Alexa, at least at time of purchase. Didn’t meet my needs. Will try again once updated for Alexa.

The setup and use of this speaker were very easy, and the ability to play anything from my collection so easily over my network is great. I had a hard time adjusting to the speaker size - I like big tower speakers. But overall this was a good purchase and I decided to keep it. I've been satisfied since then. One star taken away just because it's pretty expensive. At $400 or so this would be a five star product.

Sonos Play:5 is one of their best speakers, as it has such rich sound qualities. I was flabergasted when I first heard the intro sound of the speaker itself, so you can probably imagine how happy I am with the product. The only downside is that you MUST use the app to access music, or plug in an AUX cord. I'm getting use to work around the limitations, but I still wish I could get to use the speaker outside the app. The only service that does allow you to control music is Spotify, but I don't have the paid service, since I have all apple I decided to switch to Apple music. Just think about this and if it would bother you, otherwise this is a must buy for a speaker.

Not gonna lie... kinda pricey... BUT...the entire concept behind the Sonos system is AMAZING!! Using these speakers (WiFI - NOT Bluetooth) throughout the house is fan-freakin-tastic! I am no audiophile, but the sound is amazing on the Play:5!! Guests are forever commenting on the sound... great for parties and everyday use.

This speaker is absolutely amazing. The lows are thumping and the vocals are just great as well. I used it in my living room for a party and it was more than loud enough.

Was blown away at the play 5, it sounded so good I bought another now I have them in stereo in my office!! WOW these are amazing as stereo speakers!! Great sound detail with very nice bass!!

I am not a tech kind of person, so set up of this speaker needed to be straight forward...and it was! I love the sound and the ease of use. Just download Sonos app and you're ready to go.

Had a Klipsch KMC 3 before I purchased this speaker and was I missing out on great sound. I never knew a speaker could sound this good after listening to this speaker. This speaker is a DEFINITE BUY if you love the sound of your music. You won't be steered in the wrong direction of your reading this. I have listened to A LOT of speakers and am kinda an audiophile person and love to hear nice clear and no distortion as possible. I have had brands like Bose and like I said before Klipsch and this BY FAR is the best sounding speaker to this day. Great buy

A great speaker. Amazing full sound. Super easy to make adjustments to EQ and more via Sonos App. Sonos ecosystem alone makes this speaker great and the way it sounds is just the icing on the cake.

After much research I bought a pair of play5s. I am amazed at the quality and sound these bad boys put out, the ease of setting up with the Sonos app. Very pleased I am a Sonos customer for life...

Amazing sound quality from a portable wireless speaker. Sounds better than my wired Bose speakers. Download the app to your mobile device and connect to the speaker, could't get any easier.

Honestly very impressed with the music fidelity from this speaker. It can get crazy loud with crystal clear and detailed sound. Excellent bass. It's a fantastic speaker.

i have 5 of the older version play 5's and love them. i was excited to try these and swap all 5 out. i noticed some small improvement in sound quality - and liked the way they looked - but it was unfortunate the only option for the speaker screen on the white speaker option is black. should have offered white screen on white speaker as the people that buy white want white speakers... also different size than the last play 5 so that created some issues. overall -sonos is an excellent product
