I originally purchased a Play 1 for my office. We had a couple Play 5 speakers in our main entertainment room. I ended up returning the Play 1 to purchase this because the Play 1 did not have Airplay (could not play Audible direct from the app) and the room filling sound was underwhelming. I’d highly recommend the Play 5 for all these reasons. The only thing better out there now are high end wired speakers, and due to the lack of in wall wiring, those were not an option.

Extraordinary A dream ,easy,no messy wires,great sound simple to use great to listen and separate into different rooms with sounds & music.

I had just set up my Sanos Playbar and Sub to my LG OLED and the sound was AMAZING! After streaming Apple Music, I thought "more" couldn't hurt... So back I went for a pair of Play 5's to add on for surround and to fill out my living room. I set the pair up, and tuned in again to Infomation Society's "Running", and BOOM!!! SO much sound came out of the Play 5's! Amazing Speakers that are versatile and multi room functional. Just plug in and tune in. Highly recommend to have a complete system sound, with just a few components. 5 stars!

Great sound quality, good connectivity and responsiveness as with other Sonos products I own.

$500 is a lot to pay but this is worth just about every penny. Great bass and sound. I ordered 2 of them, and the separate sub is not needed.

I use these speakers in every room of my house. Excellent sound and quality. Easy to use and can listen to something different in every room.

This speaker is the real deal. It replaced my Bose cube speakers. Works so well my neighbors are complaining of the volume.

I never knew what I was missing until I got the Sonos 5. The bass is deeper the trebles clearer and all around sound quality is superb.

I recently purchased the Sonos play five wireless speaker. This was after researching and listening to all what Bose had to offer as well as some others. Although I still love Bowers and Wilkins speakers which are wired, for my new home I choose to go wireless, and Sonos has been a wonderful fit for me. The sound is phenomenal for a wireless speaker or any speaker. And it is very responsive to the touch, it looks good, and I plan to buy two more to make stereo sound In my dining room and put some music in my bedroom. SONOS is great!

The sound is amazing. The only improvement would be: Needs to be more bluetooth friendly. The Sonos will now play youtube or other only music/shows with out attaching other wires to computers or phones. Which kinda defeats the whole wireless option. But again, the sound is awesome. Lots of base.

The Play 5 offer the complete sound package I love these so much I'm thinking about buying two more.

Just do it. If your reading these reviews stop wasting time and go buy it. Fast and easy setup, best sounding speaker, and looks good

So I bought this so I could have continuity between the 2 One’s in my kitchen to the patio where I usually use my Play 5 when entertaining. It is plenty loud for most people in small to medium rooms but outdoors I wish it had a touch more volume. Although it already sounds quite full on its own, you really unlock the Sonos magic when you have a stereo pair. Purchasing a pair of these would cost over a grand and be overkill for almost any room, but man, I bet it would sound phenomenal...

very easy set up. Pairs nicely with playbar and sub. Provides nice all around sound between living room and dining room.

Beautiful sound quality - pretty much unlike anything I’ve heard. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.
