Excellent tone and timber. Sufficient Bass and amazing dispersion and ambiance in a room of approx. 15 x 30 dimensions. I would prefer to have two in stereo pair. But the cost is too high to justify that difference.

I have a been huge Bose fan for many years and I have always avoided Sonos due to its reputation of being too expensive until about a year ago when I got to hear the Sonos Play 5 at a Best Buy store and got blown away. Come this recent cyber Monday and they were $100 off and decided to finally pull the trigger on not just one but TWO!!! Amazing!!!!

Versatile High-fidelity speaker. I basically bought it because I can directly plug my turntable into it. I group it with a pair of Play1's for room-filling sound. In my medium-sized space, this speaker provides enough lows that doubles as a subwoofer.

The sound is just beautiful and the setup is brilliantly simple. Saving up for my next purchase to complement the first speaker.

It's loud, the bass is nice, all around good sound quality. But the app with Apple Music is slow. I wish you could just control what song you're playing through Apple Music. You can't change the song from the lock screen all the time. But other than the poor app functionality it's great.

Before setting up my Sonos play 5 I was a bit skeptical of WiFi based audio products. This happens to be my first Sonos purchase/setup. With just a single speaker our 2 room apartment was filled with deep rich sound blowing away the existing Bose 2-1 system and other bluetooth speaker in the house. I actually heard notes and instruments never audible on other devices. I've now ordered another Play 5, 2 sonos connects and 2 sonos play 1s for an upcoming home purchase. I'm HOOKED! Expensive product but great results.

I settle for this speaker after I read plenty of reviews online, then I went to the store to try and listen to it. I could not be happier I connected my turntable and played some of my old vinyl and I sat on my couch with a big smile on my face. Superior sound and multi room capabilities are awesome, later in the month I went to buy 2 Sonos 1 to add to the collection and I intend to keep adding more Sonos in the future next a Sonos 5 to complete the living room system . I would definitely recommend it.
