This is my 4th Sonos speaker and my second Play 5. There is definitely a quality difference both in design and sound. This is especially noticeable in the low end. Bass is more obvious at lower levels. These are still pretty expensive for what they are but adding them couldn't be easier.

I started off purchasing two Sonos Ones and pairing in stereo. Have to say the sound was amazing pair with a sub. But, I heard a demo at the store with the Play 5 and I was sold. I only connected one of these to my sub and it was by far fifty times better than the two Sonos Ones. I cant wait to buy another and pair them in stereo to my sub. The Sonos Ones are now my surround speakers with my Playbar and other sub and that together is just amazing.

Best looking and functional speaker system, excellent frequency range, great to play with turntables and flac files.

One of these will fill a large room with clean, powerful sound. Pair two and they will blow you away. Super tight bass.

Great speaker for a clean and easy setup. Can easily add another speaker to your setup through your phone. I do admit it's a little expensive but you're paying for the convenience and software that other speakers don't offer.

Even just on sound quality alone, this speaker is worth $1,000. Add the wireless features that enable you to wirelessly stream your music from any device connected to your WiFi and you have the best speaker for the money. I ended up replacing all of the other speakers in my home with Sonos. Tip: If the speaker isn't connecting, try unplugging it for a 1 minute. You can also reset the controller. Lastly, you can get the Sonos Connect if you're having WiFi interference with your home network.

As an owner of Many Sonos and other name brand speakers, I would highly recommend the Play 5. Currently use these speakers at home and at business. The Bluetooth allows an easy setup with any device.
