I was skeptical that a relatively small package could deliver a good listening experience, but after reading reviews, I took the plunge and tried the Sonos Play 5. I have since purchased an additional two, to place around the house and connect them to the current stereo with the Sonos Connect. This has allowed me to expand music throughout the house without running wires through the walls and I get a truly high-end sound!

finally got around to getting a SONOS Play:5 for my basement and I just love these speakers and how they envelop my entire house in music - the app is fantastic and continue to update it's features, now including coordination with Amazon's Alexa products for 'touch free' usage and listening. my only complaint (if you want to call it that) would be the cost (which is worth it, if you can afford them)

Easy to set up, ready to go right out of the box. Sound is great! I'll be adding on to this system.

My husband has filled our house with Sonos speakers and we are loving them!! Love that you can have different things playing in each room and easy to control from all of our devices!

This is my third sonos product and I love it. I have the sound at and an amp that connects to my house speakers and now this speaker that I have in my kitchen and the sound is perfect. My husband wanted to go with Bose but I told him no. The sonos sound system is perfect and haven’t had a single issue so we will continue to add to our collection. I definitely recommend this product.

Great sound, but when I attempted to use the direct connect via wire - it did not work. So when your Wi-Fi is down, so is SONOS. Still have not figured out if it was the wire (brand new purchased with the speaker) or something with the speaker itself. No detailed instructions on direct connect, so likely it is already dummy proof - just plug it in. For me - silence... but great sound. When will SONOS let them sale price these?

Too bad this doesn't come in an outdoor version. I use this in my office at home. Great bass and nice Hi's. If you can, wait until a Sonos deal. Otherwise, there is very little competition on this device. The app is better as well, allows you to stream pretty much every music service - Apple Music, Google Play, Spotify, Tidal, etc. Just found they have a desktop app too so that's even more reason to get it.

I think two play 3s work better for me in one room as opposed to one play 5.

Thankfully, Marcus at Best Buy, encouraged me to listen to the Play5, after I was considering the purchase of Play1. I purchased the Play5. When I heard the sound I was so impressed that I returned and bought a second Play5. WOW was I impressed. Sonos products are excellent. I have no buyer’s remorse and no regrets. Listening to Pink Floyd on my Sonos system is simply ethereal.

Sonos 5 has superb look and sound. Excellent wifi sound reproduction! Get the subwoofer too!

The Play 5 has incredible sound for its size. It also looks beautiful in a living room or bedroom setting. But the best part is Sonos' wireless functionality that takes this speaker to the next level. Also worth noting that the Play 5 has a line-in port which means you can add analog devices to your Sonos network and play the music from that device on any other Sonos speaker in the house. Truly amazing. Buy it.
