My ears are not what they once were, so I cannot really evaluate the sound, but it seems quite nice, especially considering the compact package. It is very convenient to use, and easy to set up initially; we have two speakers, in different rooms/parts of the condo. If the speakers are separated by distance or barriers, make certain you have a good and stable wi-fi signal throughout. We have been having some wi-fi issues that made it difficult to get things set up after we lost the signal and changed networks. SONOS tech support was outstanding the two times we needed it. My only complaint, really, is with the control software. As I mentioned in the summary, it just does not seem very intuitive, but once set up with a stable network connection, its basic use fairly straight -forward.

The Sonos 5 has a very clean,clear crisp sound.The more power you feed the speaker the more oomph you get out of the speaker.
