Does random Alexa noises, but the overall sound is good.

Even though it’s not DTS compatible, it works well as a Dolby system imo. Simple setup and rich sounds with good bass.

Although I was split between the Sonos Soundbase and the Bose Soundtouch 300, I really enjoy the Soundbase. Reason - Sonos early adoption of linking speakers and its supposed AirPlay2 upcoming adoption too.

Not having my TV mounted a sound bar in front looked clunky. The playbase allowed me to set my TV on top for a more sophisticated look. Of course the sound of the Sonos Playbase is first class. The capability to control this device from my phone is very convenient. The ability to pair and play this device with my other Sonos speakers is icing on the cake.

The Sonos Soundbase is a must have for anyone who is looking to create a premium IMAX style movie theater sound quality in their home! The sound that comes from this small system is incredible on its own and when you start pairing it with the other Sonos products it just keeps taking it to the next level. I previously had a premium Sony surround system before I upgraded to Sonos and I was blown away by the quality of this product!

This is my 2nd Sonos, and so far no regrets. After searching for a solid soundbar, ended up comparing both Sonos (Playbar and Playbase) with Bose, and Sonos ended up as the winner because of the deep bass. I also enjoy the fact that i can use the Sonos app to stream music in addition to watching TV. I will definitely recommend this soundbar. I cannot wait to get the Sonos Subwoofer now.

I first plugged in the Playbase and cranked it like I would a loudspeaker- but this is not its sweet spot. Once I hooked it to my TV and began using it as both a TV speaker and a sound speaker, I realized just how well rounded it is. We then added two Play 1’s to make a surround and it’s just the easiest system to use for both myself and my wife. No more ‘tech support’ for the family and well rounded sound throughout the living room.

Nice low profile. Available in black or white. Setup is easily accomplished. Sound is fabulous. Works with Alexa.

I really wasn't looking forward to dropping $700 twice to get the playbar and the subwoofer, so when this came around, it seemed like the perfect option to start utilizing my other SONOS products with my home entertainment system. While the base it puts out definitely won't match what the standalone sub will do, it is a great option if you want to get the surround sound option with SONOS and don't feel like putting up the $1400 to get the playbar and sub out of the gate.

Playbase is an excellent product. TV sound is very clear and does not have to be load. Music is better than my Play 3
