Works for what it is intended for, relay audio for ambient listening. If you want to get more out of your sound the amp or relaying to an amp is required.

I wish they would find a way to bridge S1 and S2 cause I've invested a lot with the company, but other than that, their products are awesome and allows multiple zones or all playing in sync. Nothing better. I own 15 sonos products.

Worked but not for my intended use

I thought with an app you could stream records etc through shared wifi to any device but guess its only Sonos products.

I tried cheaper alternatives, but they were all missing a key feature and the multi-room, whole home audio is just executed best by SONOS. Also bought this one open-box and saved 25% to boot! Very happy with this purchase.
