I had been putting off buying the $1000 Sub, so when the Sub Mini came out at half the price, and the reviews were positive, I decided to try it. Definitely rounds out the bottom end of my Sonos system, which includes an Beam and 2 One SLs. I have a smallish sized listening room (roughly 20x20 ft), so the $1000 Sub appeared to be too much money and too much oomph. I've only had the Sub Mini for over a month and no issues to complain about. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This sub surprised me how good the base was. I have it paired with a Sonia Beam. It’s a perfect match.

I own several Sonos products (One, Five, Arc, Sub-Gen 3) and I love them all. I wanted to pair the Sub Mini with the Sonos Arc in our bedroom to add some punch. With the bass turned up this sub really impresses given its size but is only fit for a smaller room and it will not provide earth-shattering bass some may like for music or movie explosions. Overall, I really like the Sub Mini; however, the price is why I only give it 3-Stars because the value isn't there. IMO the Sub Mini should be in the $200 range. At $429, you would be better off saving some extra cash and upgrading to the Sub-Gen 3 which provides bass with ease.

I gave this mini sub a 3 stars because it wasn’t giving what I needed the sound wasn’t there at all so I returned it for the bigger one.

I was excited to add the Sonos Sub Mini Dual 6" Wifi Subwoofer in black to my existing pair of Sonos SLs I use in my office .. setup was as easy as the other Sonos's I own. The sound is good for a small sub (I also have another room with the bigger sub)... purchase, sale and pickup from Best Buy were a breeze. Pleased with this and look forward to many listening hours.

bass coming out, with eyes closed it sounds like a speaker 3 times the size

In May 2024, Sonos rewrote their mobile app. The new version breaks connectivity for many existing setups, removes features, and adds bugs and significant lag. After years of using an Arc + Ones + Sub Mini system + Move system, I now can no longer connect to it at all, even after resetting. They removed email support, phone support has more than an hour's hold time, and the CEO's email is listed but just ignores you. Do not buy from this company if you want your products to keep working. This is their second major software release that broke existing products (the first being their S1 to S2 transition a few years ago). Whether it's planned obsolescence or just plain incompetence, the end result is that many people now have bricked speakers (check the app store reviews). Do not buy!

The Sonos Sub mini has been the perfect addition to my beam gen 2 and two one sl’s. It frees up the existing speakers range for clearer highs and mids while adding a serious kick in the low end. Would highly reccomend for rooms ~15x15’ but if you have a bigger space or a space with high ceilings id reccomwnd you buy the normal sonos sub gen 3 for the extra power.

It's alright. The main problem I have with it is that to update the software it always has to be unplugged, taken to a router, plugged into that. It is an often hours-long process to update it. And when it doesn't update the surround sound itself decides not to work. Sonos products are much more expensive than others so I expect a better user experience. I am likely going to return this product and all the Sonos products I bought with it because they just aren't worth the premium price.

The way it makes my sonos beam 2 sound it’s absolutely amazing.
